You can place your contribution in the offertory basket or mail it to the parish office. If we exceed our goal of $183,517, 100% of the funds over the goal come back to our parish!. God bless, Fr. Dear St. Lucy Parishioner:
As you know, Bishop McGrath has accepted my request for early retirement due to health reasons. Whenever a pastor transition is announced early enough, the Clergy Personnel Board conducts a consultation process to assist the Board in making a suitable recommendation to the Bishop for the office of pastor.
In 2013 and 2014, St. Lucy Parish conducted a survey among its parishioners to gather input regarding the different ele-ments of parish life. The results of that survey will form part of the Transition Report.
The Clergy Personnel Board is inviting all interested parishioners to participate in a simplified survey. It is the Board’s hope that you will provide input to the Board as it begins its discussion on the possible candidate for the next pastor of St. Lucy.
There are two questions that are being asked in the survey. The first is regarding the present realities in the parish – ministries, programs, personnel and facilities/plant. The second is about the future possibilities, dreams and hopes for the parish.
Please take time to participate in the survey by going to https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/StLucyPastor. The sur-vey will be available for two weeks. Thank you for your participation.
Yours in Christ, Fr. Kevin Joyce, Pastor

This Lent the Diocese of San Jose will launch an evangelization campaign called “The Light is On for You.” All the Catholic Churches in the County of Santa Clara will be open on Wednesdays 6-8PM for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. “The Light is On for You” is part of our effort to reach out to Catholics who have been away from the Church. Consider inviting your friends and family to this sacrament of healing. Consider the sacrament for yourself. The first Wednesday will be Feb 25 (the Wednesday after Ash Wednesday). For more details see www.dsj.org/light

There will be NO FLOWERS OR PLANTS IN THE CHURCH DURING LENT.
No habrá FLORES O PLANTAS EN LA IGLESIA DURANTE LA CUARESMA.
Lent is all about change and change is usually not easy. In order to change we have to leave something behind. What is it that the Lord is asking us to leave behind? Are we willing to take the risk for the promise made by God? These questions are at the heart of the Lenten journey.
Lenten Practices
Fast Days Ash Wednesday & Good Friday One full meal, two light meals; no eating between meals. Ages 18-60.
Days of Abstinence Ash Wednesday & all Fridays No meat for those over age 14.
