GOAL

The tool imports SP3D Excel sheets into an empty product group ofSPRD. It will create catalog and specification data and configure the

SP3D interface for exporting the data back to SP3D – utilising power of SPRD Revision management etc.

Potential Users

Customers having an existing catalogue with specifications in SP3Dand want to import this into an empty Product Group in order to

continue

Current procedure

• Customers buys 10 Licenses of SPRD

• Customers will receive a license key for one database with 10 Seats of SPRD for this database

• Now customers needs a second environment and wants to split the licenses into 5/5

• Customer has to ask at MSC for the split and will receive 2 License keys to install

Handling with SPLM Integration

• Customers buys 10 Licenses of SPRD

• Customers will receive a license key for SPLM with 10 seats of SPRD

• If SPRD does not have a valid license key it communicates with SPLM in order to request a customer specific number of seats say 10

• Now customers needs a second environment and wants to split the licenses into 5/5

• From the existing installation we will give back 5 seats to SPLM

• The new database can requests the 5 seats via SPLM

• Customers can split their purchased seats among their database as they want

• They can generate the new key required after migration/installation by themselves

Move Requisition Line Item from one Requisition to another

• Typical customers have standard Where Conditions

• Where Conditions are very technical and created by IT Experts

• Each project might has small derivations from the standard distributions of material on Requisitions

• Material Manager consider it too difficult to change Where Conditions according to the needs of the project

• Solution:- Use standard Where Conditions and create Requisitions- Use the new functionality to move single Idents from one

Requisition onto another- Next time, MTO will remember this manual action an re-do

Isometric QTY versus Estimation (3377)

The scope of this change request is to create a new verification job which will generate automatically an isometric with the “missing” material. This material will be the difference between the first estimation and the material included in the isometrics loaded into Smart Plant Materials when a line is incomplete.
