The message, goals and purpose has remained the same from the fi rst beginning until today. God has

blessed and enlarged us to become a worldwide ministry. It is our desire to stay obedient to the great

commission of Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:19 to gather the enormous harvest of souls, to restore

them, train them in discipleship and learn them to be soul winners for God’s Kingdom as well.

The ministry is not built with talented, charismatic or rich persons, as some people might think,

but with simple and faithful co-workers whose hearts God fi lled with His character and vision.

God has graced these faithful co-workers with His gifts, His anointing and His power to enable

them to reach people throughout the world with His love.

With joy in our hearts and great thankfulness to God, we present to you this special diamond

anniversary magazine. We thank, praise and honor God as we celebrate 60 years of Johan

Maasbach World Mission.

With thankfulness we look back to the 60-year history of the Johan Maasbach World Mission.

As we looked through the New Life magazines, we laughed and cried, but above all we stand in awe

because of the great and mighty miracles God did in all these years. He has guided and kept us with

His faithfulness. It refreshes your faith and it commands respect for the people who were maybe

not perfect, but chosen and appointed to do His work. No matter how much we would like to sum

up their names and speak our appreciation for their support and co-operation, you understand

that this is impossible. However, we are glad that God will not forget the love that many partners

and friends have shown to God’s work and His servants. Surely because of this the ministry could

continue through all these years, in good and diffi cult times.

Thank you for your trust, your love, support and prayers. It is our prayer that God will bless you

richly for this. Even if you forgot what you personally gave and did for Him, He will never forget and

He is the Great Rewarder!

Johan Maasbach World Mission

Johan Maasbach grew up as

thirteenth child in a family with

fourteen children. At the age

of seventeen he left to work as

an assistant cook on a ship to

Hamburg, Germany. During the

years at sea he experienced God’s

protecting hand and he knew

that God called him to preach

the Gospel. In his free time he

travelled through Holland with

a ‘gospel tent’. Also Wilhelmina

Klumper, born in a family with

four children, had a heart for

missions. After attending a two

year Bible School in Switzerland,

she helped spread the Gospel

in the Dutch cities Stadskanaal

and Vroomshoop. During a tent

meeting in Stadskanaal Johan and

Wilhelmina met for the fi rst time.

In 1952 Johan gave up the foreign

trade, and they got married and

prepared themselves to put their

lives fulltime in the service of the

lord. ~

Holland WonderIn 1958 on the Malieveld, The Hague, a great crusade took place with Evangelist T.L. Osborn and

Johan Maasbach as interpreter. It was a revival Holland (and Europe!) had never experienced before.

In 2007 David Maasbach visited Manado, Indonesia. Every night this young lady was carried in.

She was totally paralyzed. Astonished she testified that God completely healed her!

Island experiences revivalThe Holy Spirit brings revival and uses the Johan Maasbach World Mission as a channel and

instrument. He has done this for already 60 years in many villages, cities and islands.

Children’s homesIn our children’s homes in Chennai, India, and Semarang, Indonesia, we take care of pour

children to give them a good future. Since 2010 we also started the Oasis Charity Association

in Curitiba, Brazil.

God loves the little childrenThe main purpose of the Oasis Charity Association is to change the direction and life of street

children in Brazil. It is a great blessing to the children, their families and the whole community.

MedewerkersWHY WE MUST CONTINUE TO PREACH CHRIST!We want to inspire you to be a soul winner. You are important. For 60 years the Johan Maasbach

World Mission has occupied itself with the preaching of Christ. Evangelist Johan and Wilhelmina

Maasbach were called as the pioneers of this work. God added many faithful partners with whom

they have seen countless lives changed by the power of the Gospel. This is a work of God and built

on Christ the Rock, because the work did not end with them. They were faithful to their calling until

the Lord called Johan Maasbach to continue his life with Him in glory. Before he left, he appointed

David Maasbach, my oldest brother, and Regina, his wife, to take over the leadership. For many

years Godelief and I may work on their side. Also in this time and generation God is adding a large

group of faithful partners. Let us in love and faithfulness continue the work God has started, until

He calls us to come into His presence. Then we will be there where He is forever and ever.

‘What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did

not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us

all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifi es. Who

then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is

at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?

Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: For

your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered. No, in all these things

we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life,

neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth,

nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our

Lord.’ – Romans 8:31-39

I want to impress on your heart to do your part. Do not let God use someone else for something He

wanted to do through you. Where ever He sends you, He will be with you. He will work miracles

and confi rm His Word.
