• Current Status – Schema Completed, Implementation Guide In Development, Looking for Volunteers to Map Their Application to the Schema, and Send to CCB next month.

the Course Catalog.• Began In April 2007.• Involvement From Oracle Corporation, Iowa State

University, University of Mississippi, SunGard Higher Education, University of North Carolina, AcademyOne, Inc., University of Lethbridge, Instruction Media + Magic, Inc., College Source, Georgetown University, CSIS, ACCRAO SPEEDE, and Smart Catalog.

• Current Status – Development of XML Schema.• Approved Standard – 1st Quarter 2009.

• Development of an XML Standard that can be Used by Any Testing Agency to Fully Communicate Test Score Information to High Schools, Colleges and Universities, Affiliated Third Parties (Clearinghouses, Employers, Research Facilities, Etc.), and Local, State and Federal Agencies.

• Begin April 2006.• Involvement from ACT, LSAC, Oracle, USG, ACCRAO SPEEDE,

Iowa State University, SunGard Higher Education, College Board, CSIS, SFSU, Jenzabar, National Transcript Center, University of Lethbridge, and University Systems of Georgia.

• Current Status – Development of XML Schema and Implementation Guide.

• Begin April 2006.• Involvement from Access Group, Chase, College Assist,

EDFUND, Education Assistance Corporation, Great Lakes Educational Loan Services Incorporated, Illinois Student Assistance Commission, Mapping Your Future, Michigan Higher Education Assistance Authority, NCHELP, Nelnet, North Carolina State Education Assistance Authority, Northwest Education Loan Association, Northwestern University, Oracle Corporation, Regent, SallieMae, SunGard, TG, U.S. Department of Education, United Student Aid Funds, Inc., Wachovia Education Finance, and Wells Fargo.

• Current Status – Completed XML Schema, Standard was Submitted for Public Comment, and Working on detailed Implementation Guide.

• Approved Standard – 3rd Quarter 2008.

among trading partners and wants to ensure that a level playing field is provided in the market for organizations already using and exchanging PESC standards.

• Begin February 2008.• Involvement from Great Lakes, National Transcript Center,

Docufide, University of North Carolina, Regent, SunGard Higher Education, Accenture, American Education Services, Mapping Your Future, NCHELP, USAFunds, Northwestern University, and Florida International University.

• Current Status – To be Determined.

Student Aid Inquiry• Development an XML standard to be used to allow organizations the

ability to respond to any type of student aid inquiry. The standard would be built on the existing PESC Core Components and would include application, origination, disbursement, repayment, default and any other related student aid data that the participants would require.

• Begin January 2006.• Involvement from AcademyOne, Inc., AES, ASA, Campus Management,

Citibank, College Board, Columbia University, Datatel, Education Loan Servicing Corp, ELM Resources, FSA, Great Lakes, Higher Education Services Corporation, National Student Clearinghouse, NSLP, Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, Pearson, Pensacola Jr. College, Sigma Systems, South Carolina, Sungard, TGSLC, University of S. Florida, NASFAA, and University System of Georgia.

• Formed to work collaboratively with the higher education community to develop an Education Taxonomy. Information is to be gathered and submitted to the community to assist in facilitating this conversation.

• Begin January 2007.• Involvement from U.S. Department of Education – FSA and

SunGard Higher Education.• Current Status - Collecting Information Regarding Education

• Department of Education - National Center for Education Statistics is working on development of XML standards for all IPEDS reports for use by educational institutions to upload their reports.

• Standards to be reviewed by the PESC Change Control Board and a receive the 30-day public comment period.
