Hi I am the Monera Kingdom! Please read and write down some notes about my kingdom. Monera are singlecelled organisms
Bacteria make up the entire kingdom.
There are more forms of bacteria than any other organism on Earth.
Some bacteria are beneficial to us
(Ex: Ones found in yogurt for digestion, make cheese, breakdown dead material)
Others can be harmful and cause us to get sick.
(Ex: Strep, Staph, Bubonic Plague, Food spoilage)
The monera are the simplest of organisms, almost all microscopic.
Some monera can be both autotrophic and heterotrophic.
Some produce their own food by photosynthesis (using energy from the sun to produce food) like plants do, but many cannot and rely on eating dead and decaying matter.
Some have whip like flagella (tail) that allow them to move.
10,000 species.

Hi I am the Protist Kingdom! Please read and write down some notes about my kingdom. Protists can either be plantlike, animallike, or fungilike. They are similar to other groups, but do not completely fit in.
Most protists are single celled and microscopic.
They usually live in water.
Some protists move around, while others stay in one place.
Ways to move:
Cilia small hair like structures surrounding organism
Flagellum tail like structure at end of organism
Pseudopod foot like structure
Examples of protists include some algae, paramecium, and amoeba.
Some are autotrophs and produce their own food by photosynthesis (plantlike protists);
others must ingest other living things and are heterotrophs (animallike protists).
Protists can even be parasitic. (funguslike protists)
250,000 species

Hi I am the Fungi Kingdom! Please read and write down some notes about me. Fungi are mostly multicellular, but some are single celled organisms.
They are NOT PLANTS
Fungi are usually motionless organisms.
Examples: mushrooms, molds, bread molds, and yeasts.
Fungi are heterotrophs and get nutrients and energy by absorbing and digesting from the surface they live on.
Most Fungi reproduce by spores.
Range from small to large.

Hi I am the Plant Kingdom! Please read and write down some information about me. Plants are multicellular and consists of about 260,000 species of plants.
Plants are autotrophs and can make their own food because of a process called photosynthesis (a process of making sugar with sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide).
Plants have chlorophyll, a green pigment, which helps trap the Sun's light for photosynthesis.
Plants are divided into two groups: vascular plants vs. nonvascular plants.
Examples: garden flowers, agricultural crops, grasses, shrubs, ferns, mosses, and conifers.
Plants have both male and female parts and reproduce mainly by sexual reproduction.
A select few plants can reproduce asexually as well as sexually.

Hi I am the Animal Kingdom! Please read and write down information about me. Animals are the most complex organisms on Earth.
Animals are multicelled organisms,
Animals eat food for survival making them heterotrophic.
They use the process of respiration to release energy from their food.
They are divided into vertebrates and invertebrates
They have many organ systems nervous system, digestive system, circulatory system
1,000,000 species.
Reproduce sexually offspring are a combination of both parents.
