The colour scheme of the poster is quite dark anddismal, highlighting the connotations of a dark futurefor the storyline. The colour scheme alos highlights thegenre of the film as Grime as it is dark, nitty gritty and

not at all welcoming. However it can be seen that thereis a glimmer of lightson the New York,Brooklyn Bridge,which can beinterpreted as being

a light at the end ofthe tunnel whichsuggest a possiblehappiness for one ormore of the girls .

Use of Colour

The way that the skiesfade out from a stormyNavy Blue to a sereneBlue, highlight that therewill be storm to head

through first before thestoryline can calm. It canalso be seen that thedarker parts of the skiesare over the more lethalcharacter as it can also be

seen that as it fades out itlands on the ever more innocent victims as itlands lastly, yet lightly, on Shannon as she remains to beseen as the most innocent character , whilst also the catalystto the girls adventure.

The main images in theposter are of the title4321 and of the central

protagonists. This isdone to draw attentionto the title of the film togain recognition, and theattention is drawntowards the main

protagonists as they canbring in unique sellingfactors within their fanbases.

The posture and body language helps to introduce the role and

personality of each character, for example Shannon is sittingcrossed legged with her knees to her chin, this portrays her as avulnerable, weak character in contrast to characters such asKerrys who is beside her, standing in a bold position whilstbravely wearing little clothing, appears to be quite dominantand controlling through his body language with his head held

high and the baseball bat resting behind him.

The positioning of thecharacters isparticularly interesting,some are sitting on thenumbers, making themhigher up than the

other characters,showing a hierarchy,whilst others arestanding. This gives usan insight as to who themain characters are.

Just two of thecharacters stand andseem larger and moredominant than theother characters.

The typography of the, top, central title is plain, bold,sans serif. This is typical of a grime genre film poster.However there is a red score going through this title.This has connotations of blood and violence, which islater seen within the film.

The main title image isincorporated within themain image, this isbecause the aspect of the

countdown from 4 to 1 isingratiated within the filmand plays an importantpart within the narrative.Wherein by putting the4321 within the image of

the main protagonistshighlights the importanceof the countdown withinthe narrative.

We instantly assume thecharacters in the fore-ground arethe central characters however allthe characters in poster appear tobe somehow linked they are all ofthe same age and they all share

the same vacant fierceexpression, the image iscomposed so the characters arepositioned around the numbers4.3.2.1 and the title reads 4girls3days 2cities 1chance this brings

to life the plot of the film as theaudience begin to piece togetherwhat the story-line could be. Wenotice that two of the girls areholding weapons which holdconnotations of; danger, violence,

and possibly gang warfare.

The atmosphere of the setting it unsettling, dark andmysterious this builds interest amongst the audience asthey start to suspect the film could be suspense filled,

action packed and violent. The location is centralLondon which is a common setting for hard-hittinggangster films. We also notice that the film is has beencreated by the maker of KiDULTHOOD andAdULTHOOD two well-known gangster films.Therefore we expect the film to follow a similar story-

line or feature the same themes.
