What is the overall purpose of your website?
Who will be the site visitors?
Design:
1. Create a site map
2. Choose a style

The “look and feel”
of the website
includes both its
appearance and the
user interface.
Build:
Create a folder named
MyWebsite in a folder on your
USB.
We’re going to use NVU to create the
web pages.
Open NVU
Chose a color scheme
In the Format
menu, chose
Page colors and
Background.
Select use
custom colors.
Double-click a
color to edit.
Add text and images
Add hyperlinks
Save your site before you publish
You will first be prompted for a title:
Save the page in your MyWebpage folder.
Rename the file to index.html
Publish:
In the Site Manager pane on the left, click edit sites.
Fill in the following info:1. Site Name
2. HTTP address of your homepage
3. Publishing Address
4. User Name
5. Password
You may need to contact your ISP if you don’t know what the address would be.
Upload to the webserver
Click on the publish icon:
Finish
Close NVU
Click “Safely Remove Hardware” button(also on task bar)
Remove USB
