CEUs for Nurses and Social Workers Approval for nurses has been obtained by the National Office of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) under Provider Number CEP 5832 to award 9.0 continuing contact hours through the California Board of Registered Nursing for attending the conference; nurses are also provided the opportunity to receive 1 additional CE for attending the Community Night Out. The LLS, provider #1105 is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Board Approved Continuing Education Program (ACE). Approval Period: 12/2011 – 12/2014. LLS maintains responsibility for the program. Social workers should contact their regulatory board to determine course approval. Social workers will receive 9.0 CE clinical clock hours for attending the conference and are provided the opportunity to receive 1 additional CE clinical clock hour for attending the Community Night Out. The Conference Planning Committee invites the submission of abstracts for posters concerning original, basic, and social sciences related to the field of Adolescent and Young Adult Oncology, to be presented at the Conference. The posters will be on display from 6 to 8 pm on Friday, February 28, 2014, during the conference reception. Three posters will be selected for oral presentation on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 11 am. Poster abstracts previously presented or published in whole or in part may be submitted for presentation. The body of the abstract must include: Background, Objective, Design/Method, Results and Conclusion. Authors must indicate the institution, city, state and country where the research was done. The submission system will remain open from December 11, 2013, to January 14, 2014, at 11:59 pm CT.
The Keep Cancer Lame is an annual community event to connect AYA cancer survivors (age less than 40) and the professionals who care for them in a fun environment. Join us for an evening of music by the Sam Villela band, great food and connecting with AYA’s with cancer on another level.
