Fort Stewart & Hunter Army Airfield is the Army's
Premier Power Projection Platform on the United
States East Coast
3RD Infantry Division Mission
On order, 3rd ID deploys lethal, well-led combat
forces globally to shape, deter, fight, and win in
order to support Combatant Commander
Objectives; on order, the 3rd ID Headquarters
deploys to provide mission command of operations
as an Army, Joint, or Combined Task Force
Headquarters.
