Launched by Linden Labs in 2003 3D virtual world with built-in modeling
(CAD) tools and Linden Scripting Language
Not a game (per se): connect, communicate and collaborate (also conduct commerce!)
Been in Second Life since 2006, taken over 500 students inworld for different classes
Basic membership FREE, Premium $75/year
