3-D Game Work Flow

The task that was given was that we were made to use the Unity Game Engine to design a First Person level

that you would be able to navigate. The type of level that I have gone with is a small island that is in the middle

of nowhere and is mountainous, with a small temple area with columns and vases in the middle of the island .

The first thing I sarted with was to make a mesh. Which was to make a square flatland that I would be able to

then build off. The images to the left show an overview of the ideas that I had for my level. The image on the

bottom is the final island that I made, this is because I did not feel that the level was big enougfh or had

enough detail so I decided to add little sections and then to add broken pillars and small temples.

This is an image showing the different textures that I have put into my level. Although it is not quite finished.

The textures are mostly rocks and dirt because it’s quite a small island that is made up of rocks.

.

This is a screenshot to show me creating a dirt texture that I will be able to use for my level design. This will

help to make the land look more realistic. In the end I used this dirt texture mixed in with the default grass

texture. I did this because using this texture on its own stood out too much compared to other textures

This is an image showing me making a path through the map so it is easier to navigate around the level. This

path also leads to the temple that is in the middle of the island.

This image is an image showing the temple that is in the main part of the flatland on the island. It is a quite

small temple with a few columns and surrounded by trees.

This image is showing a l ittle dirt track that was made to easily navigate throiug the scene. This was an issue

because I was unable to climb over the path because I resized the ground to harshly and was then unable to

navigate over the path.

The images below are showing details in the islands. These details are mailny rocks and small temples. These

objects are also all have collision.

This is showing where I had put more detail into the island. This image shows where I added rocks to make it

look like a small Cliffside. This was added to try and make some main areas stand out from one another.

This screenshot shows an area of the island where it shows a ruin temple area. This area is overgrown and

some columns have been put into the ground to make it look like they ha ve sunken overtime.

This image shows the area that is most detailed. This is where the main attraction is on the island. This is

where the temple is and vases are. I’d say this is the most detailed because there are broken tiles and columns.

.

This picture shows the first are that you see when you first load the game. I decided to choose this spot

because it helps you to ease into where all the temples were placed. This spot was also not that far away from

the temples and it has areas where I have placed rocks that make up the scenery.
