THE SHOCK: HAND WRITE A NICE COVER LEADER ABOUT WHAT POSITIONS YOU APPLIED FOR, HOW YOU LIVE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD AND EXPLAIN TO THEM AS TO WHY THEY SHOULD HIRE YOU OVER THE 500 OTHER PEOPLE WHO APPLIED FOR THOSE JOBS. PUT THE LETTER IN A BUSINESS ENVELOP ALONG WITH YOUR RESUME OR MASTER APPLICATION. SEAL THE ENVELOP. ON THE COVER WRITE IN BIG BLOCK LETTERS: “TO THE MANAGER.” ON THE RETURN ADDRESS SIDE; WRITE YOUR NAME & PHONE NUMBER.TAKE THE ENVELOP INTO THE STORE AND HAND IT TO EITHER A CASHIER OR CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSON AND DO NOT START A CONVERSATION.
