This year, we were encouraged to use photoshop. Many of my works were fi rst hand-drawn, then edited on photoshop. It is very use-ful to show details like materials and inhabitations. It will defi nitely be further used and explored later on.

I represented variety through the plant. They are very reminiscent of the shape of the modules and were chosen because of their similarities but uniqueness. Community was shown through the people and background a little memo of the Taff River. The photos of the models on the left show how the modules have been assembled.

CONCEPTUAL BOARD It started as a uniform block of ats made up of modules. Along the design process, it changed to a more interesting massing, in accordance with what the resi-dents needed: VIEWS, VARI-ETY and COMMUNITY. Views had to open up towards the river and all modules were laid out so that they are all facing towards the east. Variety was given according to the number of modules given and the way the modules are pushed in and out.

Most of the works is a combination of hand-drawings and photoshop. This was an axonometric of my individual dwelling in the housing project. I used photoshop to edit materials, colours and some inhabitation.

We were introduced to 3D studio max and were fi rst asked to use it in our architecture technology mod-ule. It is very promosing in terms of rendering materials, light into the room and was very accurate. Its complexity is very discouraging but the program can be further explored as it can be useful in producing accurate images.

This work is related to our technology module. We were asked to produce a staircase in its environment. I used 3D studio max to do the staircase and then used sketch up to build its surroundings.

This was part of the digital session exercises. We were introduced to 3D studio max and learnt to draw a basic room with a window. Materials were reandered and daylight systems were introduced to produce a realistic 3D drawing.

Like Photoshop, Illustrator was a known program. However we were further pushed in using it in pa-ralell with our design module. Most of my work in illustrator were o produce posters and print out my work in an appropriate layout. The program will certainly be further utilised.
