• Overfill launch puts too much power into claddingand higher order modes

• Higher order modes and more power are lost at

• Minimal power loss at connections

• Lower loss value than actual loss



Encircle Flux Launch Condition

• Just the right amount of light in the higher

order modes and evenly distribution of light in

fiber core.

• An accurate loss value.

Scope of Competition

• Install and test a campus distribution cabling setup

involving UTP, F/UTP, multi-pair and fiber optic cables.

• Plan, install and test a multimedia cabling project from an

outdoor distribution point to indoor multimedia ports.

• Install a fiber distribution enclosure.

• Perform cable management, administration and labelling.
