York County is located in South Central Pennsylvania
and covers approximately 904 square miles of land and
6 square miles of water with a population of nearly
450,000 residents. The County is bordered on the south
by the state of Maryland, Lancaster County to the east,
Dauphin and Cumberland Counties to the north, and
Adams County to the west. York county was designated
as the fifth fastest growing county by total population
and number of new housing units in the state of
Pennsylvania from 2000-2010 according to the 2010
Census data.
