G od's wonderful Gifts are like
water in a parched land, Isaiah
tells us, like flowers in a de-
serted place. God finds ways to bring
true vision to those who've been walk-
ing in the darkness of blindness and to
impart courage to the fearful. So, if
you are in a dark and fearful place,
right now, take heart! God sees and
knows what to do for you. James also
knows this truth, and so he encourages
us to practice patience in trials, not
spreading panic and fear. He wants us
to be solid rocks for each other. But,
of course, we are but "shadows" of the
True Rock--the One of Whom Mat-
thew's Gospel speaks--the One who
invites in the outcast, and who finds
room even for the dead--in order to
give them life. Let us pray that this
Life-Giving Power may come to each
of us.
-Fr. Bill Axe
Hermana Karen
T oday we celebrate the Third Sunday, the Sunday
of Joy in Advent. Our readings urge us to see for
what brings us true joy. Not mere happiness
about the way things are going, but a deeper joy that
sustains us through all our days, as we wait for the
coming of Christ. Perhaps we can ask ourselves: What
has brought me joy thus far in this Advent season?
How do I try to keep Advent a season of waiting? How
do I react to those who do not make the same choices
that I do?
We celebrate our 90th Birthday today as a Parish.
We thank God for all the blessings that have come
from God upon us and for all the beautiful people who
have come and gone through our lives in this little
place of God. Let us keep them all in our thoughts
and prayers and strive to keep St. Agatha’s a thriv-
ing and spirit filled Parish.
Have a good week,
Sr. Karen

"Nobody can do everything but everybody
can do something" What an awesome blessing God bestowed on our guests in the form of the Bread Of Life Hospitality Ministry the Saturday following Thanksgiv-ing. The Bread Of Life Hospi-tality once again blessed our guests with a hot sit down meal for 100 plus guests. We began with Oscar glorifying , giving praise and thanking God for all that He has given us, all that does and will do in our lives, Our guests nodded in agree-ment. Alicia read from Act 2 42 47 in Spanish and one of our guests read very powerfully in English. Our guest were silent and seemed to hang on each word spoken and read. Our guests are only served a hot sit down home style meal where they can relax and chat with each other on Christmas Day during the dinner. This year once again the Bread Of Life Hospitality Ministry saw the need to reach out and bless our
guest twice with serving the word of God and a hot meal for our guests. Their pots were bottomless each time a guests would run into the Grotto to be served when we thought we were finish and it looked like there were no more beans, into pot went the spoon and out came a spoon filled with beans. God surly was there as this Min-istry did His work in His name. God blessed us once again by sending these saints to be a blessing and to do His work and walk among those who are in need , We are humbly grateful and deeply appreciative to you Bread Of Life Hospitality Min-istry Thanks for your Giving.
OOUTDOORUTDOOR FUNFUN DURINGDURING HOLIDAYSHOLIDAYS
During the increasing cold weather during the holidays, make sure children’s underclothing, gloves, and shoes stay dry. Cutting down your own tree for the holiday may start a wonderful family tradition. However, use eye protection and use extreme caution when cutting the tree, par-ticularly when a chainsaw is used with children around. Make sure that helmets and other appro-priate protection is provided, properly fitted, and used with bicycles, roller blades, and skateboards.
