Dear Prospective Purchaser,

Welcome to your new home! So many memories and great features are wrapped up in this 52 year old, single-owner-occupied home that it’s hard to know where to start. There was plenty of space for six people to live comfortably with easy flow and privacy, and lots of space to play outside.

Beautiful hardwood floors have been revealed after 52 years of protection by wall-to-wall car-peting. The light in the house is amazing--so many windows allow brightness without the glare of the sun. Two fireplaces provide cozy warmth in the winter.

The kitchen is large with a good layout, and the converted garage provides a study and mud-room perfect for a family. The renovated powder room and upstairs master bathroom are brand-new. New light fixtures in the dining room and halls bring extra brightness. Another lovely feature is the real-wood parquet hall floor.

Downstairs, the family room has new carpeting that is warm and invites lots of good times. The basement bathroom with shower is very convenient for guests. Basement windows and the walk-out door to the lovely yard and garden mean that there is lots of daylight in the basement. The perennials in the garden invite so many butterflies and birds; sitting on the stone patio is a bid-watcher’s pleasure.

The best feature of our home has been the location. We have saved so many hours NOT driving places, because we are so close to public transportation. Bus-stops are two minutes walk, and the Metro Pentagon City is either a five minute drive or twenty minute walk. Reagan Airport is five minutes, and there’s a curfew for the planes so noise is not an issue.

Top-quality public schools are an easy walk. You can be in Washington DC in no time at all, and that’s a huge advantage. We enjoyed easy access to the Kennedy Center and countless other cultural opportunities in the area. Plus there’s so much shopping nearby.

The wonderful memories of growing up in this home will be with me forever. Waking up Christmas mornings to the beautifully lit tree surrounded by tons of gifts....anxiously waiting for the coffee to brew so that Mom and Dad would come downstairs...sitting together as we took turns opening our gifts so that each one was appreciated and shared....

This will always be home....so much love between us...so many incredible memories, laughs, tears and dreams fulfilled....we wish the same for the future owners.
