Setting cafeteria meal prices for the 2012-13 school year as follows:

Elementary & High School Paid Breakfast - $0.85

Elementary Paid Lunch - $1.40

High School Paid Lunch - $1.50

The Cafeteria Budget for the 2012-13 fiscal year in the amount of $526,915.

The revision of the Act 93 agreement for the 2012-13 and 2013-14 fiscal years.

The central office salaries for the 2012-13 fiscal year. To authorize administration to complete the necessary budget transfers for the

2011-12 fiscal year as needed. Authorizing Administration to process a July bill list and to pay the bills that come

due between scheduled summer Board meetings with subsequent Board

approval in August. Allowing Administration to appoint personnel required for the beginning of the

school year pending board approval.

A Special Education Contract with I.U. 9 in the amount of $137,152.

To adopt a resolution implementing the Homestead/Farmstead Exclusion for 2012.(A tax savings of $187.16).

To adopt an updated resolution allowing for Property Tax Installment Payments forall properties.

The Real Estate Tax rate at the current rate of 15.85 mills for the Smethport AreaSchool District for the 2012-13 fiscal year. (No increase).

To adopt Policy #004 Local Board Procedures & Policy #718 Service Animalsin School.

Penn State Extension is reporting that late blight has beenconfirmed on commercial tomato and potato plantings on fivedifferent farms throughout four counties in SouthernPennsylvania including Lancaster County. This hasimplications for Pennsylvania home gardeners, who should bewatching their plants closely for this disease. On healthyplants, late blight symptoms first appear as somewhat circularwater soaked spots near the edge of the leaf. In moist weatherthe spots expand rapidly, usually beyond 1 inch in diameter toform brown blighted areas. Lesions can expand rapidly andresult in extensive, if not complete, defoliation within 14 days.In dry weather, affected foliar parts may appear dry andshriveled. Stem lesions are typically brown to almost black incolor.
