Companies may have to spend 30%

Swa c h h B h a ra t
Abhiyan, the Centre
is considering a
proposal to ask
private companies
and PSUs to spend
around 30% of CSR
f u n d s o n t h e
c l e a n l i n e s s
programme. The
proposal is under consideration of a panel of Union
ministers which is deliberating on ways to fast-track
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's top priority schemes -
Make in India, Jan Dhan Yojana, Swachh Bharat, Digital
India and Skill India. The proposal is in line with the
recommendation of Niti Aayog's panel of chief ministers
headed by Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu.
The panel in its report has said, "A certain part of the
CSR contributions by PSUs/Companies may be spent in
the states where they are located." Niti Aayog's report
had recommended several steps, saying "it is very
comprehensive in its coverage and requires huge
amounts of funds to cover all aspects of the mission."
According to information given to Parliament, during
2014-15, the first year for CSR, the 2% profits of 460
companies comes to around Rs 8,347.47 crore, of which
75.92% has been spent for CSR activity during the year.
This included 51 PSUs that spent Rs 2,386.60 crore.
Cyber Help India makes an endeavour to
provide free computer literacy under CSR
activityCyber Help India has made
an endeavor by taking into
consideration Corporate
Social Responsibility as its
companies value system
and thus has made an
initiative to provide free
computer l i teracy to
students from under privileged community of the society.
The aim of this initiative is to provide computer awareness and in order
to enhance their prospects of employment through Basic Computer
courses to women and DTP Courses to Students free of cost for course
duration of four months. The initiative has been incorporated by
partnering with a Computer institute of Siliguri. As an initial practice
this is our first CSR activity of this kind in the 1st quarter where we are
providing 4 number of students this free education, however we will be
continuing this practice in every quarter of year from now onwards and
in near future further our focus will be to provide free computer literacy
programme to more number of under privileged students and
imposing CSR activity as an integral part of our business module.
“Computer skills are very much essential now days as companies from
every field have started to rely upon computerized technology to get
the work done. Our objective of this computer literacy programme is to
create self sustainability, thus acquiring or having computer
knowledge will help the students to get a job and also better continuity
in a workplace” Said Gautam Ghosh, Founder & CEO of Cyber Help
India.
460 companies spent Rs 6,337 crore for CSR in
FY'15: Arun JaitleyAs many as 460 companies spent a little over
Rs 6,337 crore for corporate social
responsibility (CSR) activities last fiscal,
Parliament was informed. Of the 460
companies, 266 firms spent less than 2% of
the average profit, he said.
In a written reply to Rajya Sabha, Corporate Affairs Minister Arun
Jaitley said a total of 460 listed firms have so far disclosed spending
Rs 6,337.36 crore in 2014-15. This included 51 PSUs that spent Rs
2,386.60 crore.
He added that being the first year of implementation of CSR
legislation, inability of companies to formulate well conceived policy,
delay in formation of CSR committee, difficulty in finding suitable
implementation agency and adoption of long term CSR projects are
some of reasons given by firms for not being able to spend the
required amount. The minister also said that PSUs utilised about 71%
of their mandated CSR fund (Rs 3,359.84 crore), while that of private
sector companies was 79 per cent.
NGO Clinic to help NGOs stay Healthy:The Don Bosco Institute of
Management and Research
(DBIMR) unveiled plans to
set up a 'NGO clinic' to
provide NGOs with short-
term consultancy, to help
conduct workshops and to
act as a platform for net
working among the relevant
NGOs in Mumbai.
The clinic, slated to start on April 22, will be the endeavour
of DBIMR to ultimately be a centre to empower NGOs in all
the relevant areas. It will be based at the Don Bosco
Centre for Learning (DBCL) campus in Kurla. The faculty
of DBIMR will run the clinic and Dr S P Das will be the head.
Assistance of other experts will be sought on need basis.
48 NGO representatives, who attended a special seminar
entitled 'Empowering NGOs for the Future' by DBIMR on
February 15, welcomed news of the new initiative. DBMIR
conceptualised the idea to empower NGOs, given that the
Government of India, in 2013, enacted a law whereby
qualifying companies must spend at least 2% of their net
average profits of the last three years on initiatives in
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
In this context, corporates are regularly in search of
credible implementing agencies like NGOs to commit their
funds for CSR projects. Therefore, it allows the NGOs to
become adept and skilful in meeting the expectations of
the government and corporates. "DBCL has emphasised
outreach activity since its inception and therefore has a
strong networking with NGOs wherein students are
actively involved by means of Social Internship and other
social developmental activities. Being a management
institute, we need to engage with the NGOs in
empowering them with professional skills," Das said.

Historical monuments now come under the
care of PSUsHistorical monuments across the
country suffer from the lack of
regular maintenance but that is
likely to change soon, thanks to
the intervention of big public
sector undertakings. A total of 18
monuments have been placed
under the care of PSUs like GAIL, SAIL, BHEL, Shipping
Corporation of India and others. The PSUs will spend part of their
corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds on maintenance of
these monuments.
Fourteen PSUs will be taking care of the monuments which are
under the custody of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
Some of the PSUs have more than one monument to maintain.
The government encourages public private partnership (PPP) for

CSR Activities @ Telanganaabhaya - VIJAYA CSR Update
I was associated with abhaya for the last 4 years, It is great opportunity for me to learn many things in the process of
volunteering. When for the first time we visited the Govt Primary School at Jagadgrigutta, we observed the worst conditions in
which the school is functioning. There were issues with drinking Water, Toilets and Kitchen room.
We discussed the situation of the school with abhaya Founder and though the intention was pure no funds available for so many
service projects. But, we are aware of the fact that abhaya always start the projects with pure intention and as always says by
the Founder, If intentions are pure, then gods will start working for the cause. With such thoughts in our heart, we proceeded with
campaigning about the cause. Couple of donors responded with their promises, but they are not even close to the funds required.
But, nevertheless we published in the news letter.
Later in the 2nd week of March, on enquiry from CA Prasad, GM (Finance) Vijaya Diagnostic, Hyderabad, the Founder CS
Balachandra Sunku and Trustee CS PS Rao presented various projects with the help of news letter seeking their help. Within a
span of 10 days of our appeal, Vijaya approved the project to develop the Govt Primary School with their CSR Funds to the tune of
Rs.2,50,000/- . Our happiness know no bounds knowing about their gesture. We further spoke to School HM and met the local
MLA Sri Vivek, he also assured his support in clearing the issues connected to the school. Further we also met MEO, Corporator
and other officials connected to School. We express our heartfelt gratitude to Vijaya Diagnostic for their generous contribution.

We just broke the coconut for the development work at the School on 29th March

Electrician Trade for the unemployed youth at abhaya Home.
I am very fortunate enough to inaugurate the tailoring course for first batch
of 30 women on behalf of the Company on 26th March. 2016 at a remote
village called Chededu. Also understood that people over there doesn't have
proper livelihood. I appreciate abhaya for selecting such a village so that the
women become financially independent and could provide financial assistance
to their families. The women are very enthusiastic and hope that this batch
become a grand success thereby encourages next batch to fully utilize a very
rare and divine opportunity to enhance their standard of living.
Same day I had the opportunity to visit abhaya Home at Ibrahimpatnam and to interact with the students undergoing the
Electricians Trade program. They hail from the rural villages who have completed school and could not continue further education
due to various reasons.
I also visited the inmates of the home, some of them are destitutes, sick and abandoned children. They are treated with utmost
love and affection. I am really moved with compassion and impressed by the Heartfelt and Divine services being carried out by the
founder Sri CS Balachandra Garu. Looking forward to engage myself more in such activities of abhaya. I am really impressed with

users from anywhere in the country. The new team lead by Ravi, Caterer, Hyderabad is now taking care of complete kitchen.
abhaya Home outsourcing the catering for the benefit of all inmates & students.
The Grinder which was broken was repaired by Agromech and we thank Sri Sanjayji for their caring support. Further Harish
Kalmadi knowing about the needs of abhaya at the campus offered 35% discount for supplying Kitchen Freezer for storing Milk,
Curd and vegetables and a Drinking Water Cooler. Seeing the appeal for the support, CA S Radhakrishna, Board Trustee, Bengaluru
and Sri Pankaj Agarwal, Business Man, Hyderabad offered their support for both items. We are very much indebted to them.
The Chairman, Sri Meda Narsimhuluvisited the campus
abhaya Hyundai Driving Classes: 7th batch driving students (7) staying at abhaya
Home for their balance driving classes and taking
driving licenses. They are enthusiastic and
empathized towards inmates and activities at Home.
The SANTRO Car donated by Hyundai was registered
in the name of abhaya Foundation during the month.
The Founder personally visited RTO, Ibrahimpatnam for couple of times. Sri Gowrishankar, RTO
& Sri Raghunandan Goud, Inspector impressed by the cause, extended their whole hearted
support to abhaya. RTO took time and visited abhaya Home and felt inspired. He, while
appreciating efforts of abhaya given many ideas as to how to make Driving Course more useful
for the rural students. Hyundai team met the RTO and mad note of his suggestions. Further,
abhaya Hyundai Driving School is being registered. Sri Sathyanarayana Murthy referred by Sri
Gowrishankar, visited abhaya Home and felt amazed to see the facilities at campus. He said he
can happily be the certifying authority for the Driving School and provided his documents
voluntarily. The school is going to provide model classes for the rural students.
NAC abhaya CCL Youth Empowerment: Many of the NAC officials visited Home. With a great motto to provide
skill development to unemployed rural youth, Now abhaya Home is an authorized training centre. Founder Balachandra and other
Board members spent lot of time in following up with many Govt., Officials enabling to sign MOU with NAC. Finally NAC signed an
MOU and Class Rooms, CC Camera Surveillance, Practical Lab, Stores, Biometric Attendance, Canteen, Theory classes etc., are all
set by NAC Officials. They have deputed Teaching and Non Teaching Staff at the abhaya Home, Sri Venkatesh, Faculty staying at
Home taking care of the NAC Course.
abhaya Home campus is full of activity now. Electrical House Wiring classes started by NAC and the new batch of 25 students are
at Home and more students are expected to join in next couple of days. Everyone of us are happy to see lot of people around them.
Though it is difficult to manage many people at the campus, I am personally feeling very happy for the activities happening.
While all these things are happening, The board directors of CCL Products India Ltd., lead by Sri Ch Rajendra Prasad sanctioned
annual budget to sponsor youth empowerment classes conducted by NAC/ abhaya. CS Sridevi, Company Secretary, CCL, Hyd
post sanction visited abhaya campus and appreciated the effort and assured their best possible support for the good work.
abhaya CCL Rural Tailoring Centre: As part of abhaya Youth Empowerment Projects, abhaya started first ever
abhaya CCL Women Empowerment Centre at Chededu village, RR Dist., where
there are about 300 families. Most of them are depending on agriculture for their
livelihood. Due to lack of rainfall the income is inconsistent and all the families
are suffering a lot, as they don't have alternate income source. Noone is caring
the village, though there are unemployed youth at every house. But, the newly
appointed abhaya Social Worker, Smt Manga after meeting scores of Rural
Women at the village, approached abhaya with a proposal to start a Free
Tailoring centre for benefiting the village women. Founder after meeting the
interested women in the village in the presence of Village Surpanch & other
women leaders very happily assured them the best possible support for their livelihood. It was decided to set up a Rural Tailoring
Centre to provide alternate income source to the families in the village.
abhaya Computer Classes: Considering the space
constraint and administration linked with the more students at abhaya
Home campus, it is decided to encourage the students (Girls/Boys) to
learn computer classes as day scholars. Accordingly 12 youth drawn
from different villages shortlisted for computer training at a Computer
Institute, Ibrahimpatnam, the classes will be started from 5th April
2016 for about 60 days.
It was at this time, CCL products sanctioned
their CSR Funds for starting the Tailoring
Centre. CS Sridevi, CCL, CS N Vanitha Sai Kiran
along with Smt G Sai Jyothi, Entrepreneur, from
Hyderabad inaugurated the centre at Chededu
Village assuring their best possible support
going forward. Smt Jyothi also shown the
products such as Ties & T Shirts which can be
stitched by them to earn their regular income
apart from their routine stitching jobs. The
environment created by abhaya over there in
the village made the village women feel very
confident about their learning and livelihood.
Malleswari, a Trainer was also identified from
Ibrahimpatnam with a monthly salary to
conduct tailoring classes for 2 months. The
village women volunteered to bring 4 machines
and needed tools for the center with the funds provided by abhaya. abhaya - Secretary, CA BV Prasad along with his friend CA
Chidambaram Iyer (Sembcorp) graced the event and wished the beneficiaries all the best. Founder while interacting with the
registered students informed them only those present in the event will have first opportunity for training, those who are regular
to the classes will be paid Rs.500 as stipend and those needy people if pool 50% amount for buying new machine will be
supported by abhaya with the balance amount. This made entire women feel very happy about the opportunity.
VNR Students visited: VNR Vignanajyothi
students visited Home to meet the inmate Ravi after a
gap of 3 months and they were amazed to see many
people taking shelter under a single roof. Many of them
are first timers and they are all very happy.
Number of well wishers, visitors keep visiting the
campus now a days. Sri Kushalaiah, Sri G Srinivas from
Miryalaguda and Sri Naresh from Hyderabad donated
about 10 quintols of rice during the month of March. Sri
Phanindra, industrialist provided Wheat Floor & Upma
Ravva. Sri Venkatesh, Srinivasa Medical & General
Stores, Hyderabad providing all the medicines needed
for the campus. Dr Sulapani & Dr Himabindu,
Rajyalakshmi Hospitals, Hyderabad offering their best
services to all inmates absolutely free of cost.
My father used to say that whenever we get help from
someone, we must return it in double. I was benefited
by abhaya and living a second life here, and I decided to give my best by serving back the society through abhaya. //Sarve janah
Sukhinobhavanthu// - Kusuma, Coordinator, abhaya Home
It was the first time for us to visit abhaya home of
Happiness, and I have observed that the entire campus
was filled with greenery, it was very peaceful place to
visit. No matter how huge the campus may be in size yet
it was all maintained and well cleaned.
I was pained to see many people seeking shelter at
abhaya, the most painful thing was that they do not
even know that they are abandoned by someone. Yet
abhaya has not left any chance intrying to fix the
attitude and condition of this people. Specially, the
young kid Ravi, has shown a huge change in his attitude.
It would be of great help for him if we try to give him some tuitions in basic
Computer applications. Our volunteer team has failed in fulfilling the promise we
have made to abhaya Foundation. But I will try my best to fulfill the promise we
have made. - Chaitanya, Coordinator, VNR Students Force, Hyderabad
I am Kalyan, VNRVJIET, I came to know
about abhya Foundation just before six
months. I have seen a 5 yeras old girl and
many senior citizens taking shelter at
abhaya Home. That little girl could barely
speak anything. But she spoke the word
"Amma" and it was the sweetest word I have
ever heard in my Life. The best thing I have
seen was no matter what kind of hardships
they were all going through they still
managed to care for each other and stay
happy. I really appreciate the steps abhaya
Foundation has been taking in empowering
the Rural youth and providing them
employment opportunities by establishing
various training programs.
Feedback from VNR Students
I am J.Srividya, VRNVJIET College, I have heard
about abhaya Foundation earlier but it was the first time
for me to visit the abhaya Home. I was stunned to see
the kinds of patients and disabled people taking shelter
at abhaya Foundation.
I have never seen any organization trying to empower
the rural youth by providing them employment
opportunities through training programs. It is a very
versatile and essential idea of abhaya in empowering the
rural youth. It was a tremendous experience for me to
visit the abhaya Home of happiness and witness the
extra ordinary activities happening at the home.
I am very thankful to the Founder for giving us a chance
to visit the Home and realize how huge the world is and
how beautiful it can be.
I am Nikhil, studying Civil Engineering from
VNRVJIET. We have visited abhaya Home on
20th of March. Initially I was scared while
travelling to the abhaya Home by seeing the
condition of roads which paved to Home.
Once I reached the campus, all my doubts
just vanished in a winks time. The warm
welcome we received made me comfortable
and we all conversed with the Founder
without any hesitation. Specially, in my case
I was so overwhelmed to have met and converse with the Founder.
Founder stressed the importance of 5 main aspects of Life and that
we are supposed to maintain all the 5 aspects of Life in equal balance.
He has also emphasized the importance of Farmers in everyone's life
and the way we are supposed to save our food feeding Farmers from
all the financial crisis.
I am Dileep kumar student of VNRVEIJT. I
happened to visit abhaya Home in this month. The
campus had a really different atmosphere, away
from all the mechanical chaos we live in every day. I
felt very happy to see Ravi progressing in his Life, his
life has got better than before. I am so over whelmed
that I don't have any words to express the work that
is happening at abhaya.
We need to develop a lot by taking the Founder as our
inspiration. We can learn a lot from the Founder, the
way he talks, the way he works and the way he has
been organizing the activities of abhaya. I wish to
take the Founder as an exemplary personality and
inspire my friends in joining abhaya to do the
community work . I aspire to bring many other
people like me into abhaya to carry out the voluntary
work. I could barely sleep after meeting the Founder
out of great enthusiasm. By taking part in these
activities I am sure we can take the responsibility of
progressing our nation, taking our nation into
progress. - Dileep, VNR, Hyderabad
I am Gayathri, VNRVEJIT, we have visited
abhaya Home in this month. My father is a follower
of Satya Sai Baba and I have been raised with all
the values preached by Baba. That is the very
reason I could personally connect to each and
every word the founder of abhaya spoke. I have
never actually practiced any of the values that are
taught by Baba, but after visiting abhaya
foundation I realized the fact that the essence of
all the preaching's of Baba is to practice them but not to just follow them.
Thank you for igniting the humanity in all of us.
It's an awesome and worthy experience for me to
visit abhaya Home. I have learned lessons for a life
time in just a time span of 12 hours. I am a
Manager of a student organization back at my
college, I know the pain and time it takes in
managing the activities of an organization but after
watching the activities of abhaya I realized that
whatever I am doing is just minute and negligible. I
promise to support abhaya in all ways possible. -

here at abhaya foundation for about 10 days and
trained well. Finally, he has moved from immobility to
mobility. All thanks to Bionic Out Reach, India for
providing the modern artificial limb to Durgaprasad.
I convey my heartfelt thanks to all the people who
supported for my treatment. I am indebted to abhaya
Foundation for accommodating us and providing us
all the facilities we require. Had abhaya not
supported me I would have never be able to get this
artificial limb. And also my special Thanks to Sri
Suresh, Bionic Outreach.
Durga Prasad's note:
Mission NukarajuI am B. Srujana Bharathi, my father B. Nukaraju has been suffering from psoriasis for 3 years. He has been taking medication with the support of abhaya foundation since august 2015. In the month of March, we went to Bengaluru to meet Dr. Sachidananda, he gave a new prescription and said to follow the same for four months. He also said that there is no complete cure for psoriasis but we can control this to maximum extent with the help of medicines. Because of climatic changes my father condition may be ruinedonce again, hence Doctor gave a new medicine for that.
My father is completely aware of his health condition now and he is ready to face any health issues further. I am doing my job well and Iam planning for a shift to any Degree college to save time and also improve my subject knowledge for my career. I shall also earn money to take care of my family and I am searching for home tuitions. Because of abhaya's support I have a plan to manage my family's expenses, father's health, and my career.
I would like to thank the founder for the inspiration he has given in achieving my goals. Thank you abhaya for all the support.
Mission SruthiSruthi missed a few sessions in this
month as she had to accompany her
mother to visit her Grandmother, as
she is not well. They were back after
a week and regular in attending the
classes. She is also recovering slowly
and trying to stand on her own.
Mission RavitejaWith abhaya's request Apollo
Hospital gave a discount of about
50,000 INR and asked them to
pay 2.3 Lakhs. They have paid
two lakhs at the time of admission
and all of that is loan. They are
very poor and could not even get
loan more than that. So they
approached Telangana State
Minister Padma Rao for further
discount. After all the discounts
they still need to pay 1.7 Lakhs
and abhaya supported them with
45,000/- and they got the rest
from one of their family friend by
taking loan on his house. Now
Raviteja is out from the hospital
and he is recovering to normalcy.
Sai ShashankSai Shashank is fully
r e cove red f r om the
accident and is now ready
to attend his classes at
Engineering College. His
urinal pipe and the bag
attached at spleen were
removed in this month. As
of now he is taking good
food to recover fast and we
can expect complete
normalcy in a month. This
is truly a miracle.
Mission Sirisha & DivyaPhysiotherapist Sudarshan is not happy with the
pay and discontinued the treatment from last
month. He is reluctant to give session for both the
children as it is time consuming and he can earn
more in that time. Their mother Manga is looking
out for another therapist and we hope they will
find one soon.
Mission Hari PrasadHari Prasad's mother, taking good care and
taking him to physiotherapy session at Sweekar
regularly. His progress is slow but steady. Apart
from Physio sessions, he need speech therapy
session too. Once he is able to walk on his own,
we can plan for speech therapy.
Hope, you are aware of this little girl Bhavya who met with an accident and
admitted in Vasavi Hospital, Hyderabad about 6 months back. abhaya supported
her during the crisis. She is presently doing well and able to stand and walk on her
own slowly. From crashing the leg under auto wheel to standing on her own... this
is yet another miracle of abhaya

Engineering and Advanced English communication skills lab examination. In
the English lab exam, I have given speech about the "Need of Good Leaders
in India" and also I have given a conclusion saying "Don't Create a Leader Be

which I have accrued from my association with abhaya. After completing my

values, about family, country and life. He motivated
all the students with his Inspirable words.
Sai Latha (MBBS)I am Sai latha, pursuing 3rd year of Medicine. I have performed well in practical examinations. Our third year's
course classes have commenced from 18th of February. The subjects include community medicine (SPM), ENT,
Ophthalmology. Presently I have been posted to SPM department. In this department we are engaged in field
works, going door to door in villages and assessing the health status of pregnant women, children and adults
by collecting their routine diet information, assessing housing and services, knowing whether they are aware
of government incentives, knowing accessibility of PHC's or RHC's or sub-centres services etc., to them. Finally
assessing overall health & to what extent they are maintaining socially and economically productive life in the
community. Generally, people are not welcoming in discussing their health issues with us. So, we need to come
down to ground zero to interact with these villagers in diagnosing their health issues. I have learnt maintaining
such rapport with people from abhaya. The main objective of the program is to reach all the nook and corners of
the country in knowing the status of health of citizens of all age groups. We also create awareness to them by
giving them information regarding the incentives which are provided by government, and how they can make use of such
incentives in protecting themselves. I have learnt all the skills of interaction and teaching the people about hygiene from the
Founder, when I happened to visit Gurukul along with him. That spirit benefited me a lot in imparting children in villages about
nutrition, sanitation, first aid, immunization, personal hygiene, etc., where creating awareness about all these is also a part in our
duty. My fellow mates were all impressed and amazed by the way I was teaching these kids. They all gathered around me and
practiced the same. I am immensely happy to implement my learning which I have attained from abhaya. Later I got a chance to
give a Seminar in our College, I could impress all my faculty with my presentation and confidence. I am planning to study for third
year examinations right from the beginning with the help of my Faculty and seniors. I need to buy some books for this year.
And on the other hand I am helping my sister with her academics and she has recently joined for instrument tuitions to learn to
play the instrumental music. I am very happy to see her progressing in her Life. I must say that abhaya has infused tons of
confidence in my Life and whatever I am today it is all because of love and care of abhaya.

abhaya Women's Day Celebrations
The event organized was amazing and the Founder made us to understand
every drop in the ocean is important by introducing each lady who sat
there in the audience. This sort of events makes women more powerful.
I don't know what others got to say but, I am very happy with the event, as
I have seen my mother happy throughout the event. I could see all the
happiness in her eyes. I could connect to that event personally rather than
connecting as an entrepreneur. Thank you abhaya for everything and for
the event as well.
We used to take Mother to visit Hotels & Temples
along with kids and servants we did like that for
years but suddenly she stopped and we are
missing her and we stopped going out. I used to
take her around every weekend and she used to
enjoy hanging out with us, I am sure she misses it
now. She showed her flowers and shawls to dad
like a kid shows a toy to her father. If can support
her and help her in becoming strong everything
will set on its own. She is the main pillar of GVPR
family. - MV Sunitha Reddy, CEO, GVPR

The event was a great event.
It must have given great
inspiration and motivation for all the women who
have attended. I don't know how to express my
gratitude to abhaya and the Founder. I am very
thankful for giving me a chance to speak to the
students at TSSWARO, Ibrahimpatnam. The Founder
almost froze all the students by grabbing their
absolute attention with his powerful voice. He has an
energetic and tickling voice which mesmerizes the
audience everywhere that is what I understood

as to how to lead a happy life like them. - S

It was a great sight to see the elderly lady getting
felicitated by abhaya. I have seen many people who have
transformed their lives with the help of abhaya. There
were young girls who exhibited their craft works, there
were old citizens taking shelter. The
story of the lady who is taking care of
abhaya is unbelievable. There are
many people who have attained
tremendous transformation in their
lives. I promise to support abhaya in
future. - S Lakshmi Pooja Lavanya,

abhaya's Sivratri message:Who is Lord Shiva, and where is He to be
found? Many answers are given,
including Kailash as His place of
residence. The true answer is,
'Isavasyam Idam Sarvam'. He is
omnipresent. There is no place, object or
being where God is not present. Let's
correct our outlook and recognize this in
everything around us. When God is
omnipresent, what is the need to go in
search of Him? The search is
meaningless. If one serves fellow beings
(as HE Saved many by consuming
halahala) getting rid of attachment and
hatred, one will experience the Divinity
inherent within. This is the sadhana one
has to do today - to love all and serve all!

I would like to thank abhaya for giving the opportunities to serve
the needy for last 7 years. We feel very much happy to celebrate
my son Master HITESH SRI KUMAR's 1stbirthday with the kids of
Govt Primary School, Jagadgirigutta, Hyderabad, while abhaya
performed Bhoomi pooja for the civil works at the school. This day
is really one of the memorable days in our life. My son enjoyed with
the kids a lot by having blessings of lots of self less smiles of kids in
the school and my family members are proud of me for celebrating
1st birthday in such a way. This gave me a
sense great satisfaction which I never had
before. They praised abhaya and the way it is
serving the needy. Our Special thanks to CS
Balachandra. Mr. Sreedhar and Mr. Jagadish
for providing this opportunity, who took the
initiative to support the school.
abhaya work is always very good,
spontaneous and nothing is hidden in spending the money in various activities.
Having served as an Accountant for 2 years at abhaya, I have seen no single paisa is
misused by abhaya and that is why I stood by abhaya...I am proud of abhaya. - P

P Sainath called the Founder seeking his time on 29th March
stating that his Son Master Hitesh is turning to 1. His thought was
to take blessings and give a small donation on the occasion.
Whereas Founder asked them come to Govt Primary School,
Jagadgirigutta with all his family members & big cake. Though
they have no idea of what is waiting there… they all came to the
venue which is close to their home.
Founder introduced Master Hitesh as a Chief Guest for the event
and made him to perform bhoomi pooja for development work initiated by abhaya – Vijaya with
Rs.2,50,000/-. Local TRS Corporater Jagan and others were also present at the occasion. Later 1st
Birthday of Hitesh was celebrated in the presence of 100s of kids in most jubilant way. The happiness of
the family knew no bounds. Smt & Sri Sainatha Reddy handed over a small donation to abhaya and
distributed sweets to the school kids. In total, Founder could create a life lasting memory in their hearts
with his love and care for the well wishers of abhaya. - abhaya Team
