Private equity investments created more than 36,000 new jobs in Houston from 1995-2013.

From 1995 through 2013, Houston private equity-backed companies grew jobs by 207.7 percent, while all other companies grew jobs by 45.6 percent. More than half of this growth comes from the middle market.

From 1995 through 2013, private equity-backed companies grew sales by 616.9 percent, while all other businesses grew sales by 53.2 percent. This growth provided $6.8 billion of sales in the local Houston middle-market economy.

The purpose of ACG Women’s Forum is to inspire, encourage and educate women through networking with and support from their professional female peers. ACG Houston hosts three events annually, including a spring social, summer social and fall luncheon. The Houston and Dallas chapters also join together to host a Women’s Forum luncheon before the Texas ACG Capital Connection each year, which will take place in Dallas on March 29, 2017.

SPRING SOCIAL: In 2017, the Women’s Forum will host a networking lunch at a trendy and centrally located restaurant. This luncheon will feature networking activities and conversation instead of a speaker or panel.

SUMMER SOCIAL: The venue and structure of this event varies annually and may be a cocktail hour, luncheon or dinner.

FALL LUNCHEON: Our fall luncheon consistently takes place at Hotel ZaZa in the museum district. Sponsors and attendees have an hour of networking followed by lunch and a speaker or panel presentation. In addition to marketing and branding recognition before and during the event, top level sponsors will have a reserved table for invited guests at the front of the room during the presentation.

The 4th Annual Golf Tournament will take place at the Wildcat Golf Club in May of 2017. Members and non-members are invited to create teams of four to compete in a scramble competition. Cash prizes are awarded to the first, second and third place teams.

The day starts with a lunch at the club house before the 1:00pm shotgun start. Dinner and an awards ceremony close out the day along with a raffle.

WIth over 120 participants at the 2016 golf tournament, this event has proven to be a successful networking tool for both members and non-members.

ACG Houston Young Professionals seeks to attract young professionals serving the middle market industry to the ACG Houston networking community. With a reduced membership fee and lower ticket costs for networking events, our goal is to encourage young professionals to get involved with ACG and to provide our future leadership with the resources needed for professional growth and development.
