2016 State FFA Convention Registration Guide
It is time! The 2016 State FFA Convention registration is now live! We are all very excited to have all of you join us this year in Syracuse, NY for 3 amazing days of competition, recognition and to leave our IMPRINT on the local community. The registration deadline for state convention is April 5, with payments due by April 19. You can make modifications to your number of registrants, competitions, Day of Service, etc. yourself up until April 5. After April 5 you will no longer be able to change your registration numbers, tickets, competitions, Day of Service, meals, etc. except for student names which you will need to contact the state office in order to do so. We will allow you to change student names up until April 15, but if you do we will not be able to change t-shirt sizes because we are ordering them based on the information given on April 5th. The reason for this is because we will be mailing all of your registration materials (parking passes, cirque tickets, registration bracelets and badges, t-shirts, etc.) to you before convention. Another change this year is that we will not have a chorus. Based on the feedback that we received this activity didn’t have enough interest and so we are encouraging students who want to demonstrate these types of skills to participate in the talent show. You can register for the talent show on the CDE page. For more information about state convention, including the waiver that is required for each student (please scan ahead of time and email these to Kate Downes at [email protected]), please visit: http://www.nysffa.org/state-convention. We have created this guide to help you prepare to register for state convention. There are a few changes from previous years that will take the registration process longer, so please make sure that you have a good 30-40 mins of time so that you can complete it without having to start over. We highly suggest that you gather all of the needed information ahead of time so that this process won’t take you any longer than it has to. The registration will time out if you are on each page longer than 30mins and it won’t save your information from that page. Below are images of exactly what you will see on each page so that you can prepare all the information before you go in and register. Please feel free to contact us if you have questions. If you click continue and it doesn’t allow you to move onto the next page it is because you are missing something above that is required and it will be highlighted in red or have a red * next to it. Thank you all that you do for your students and we look forward to seeing all of you at state convention!
There are 6 pages that you will navigate through: Welcome, Attendee Information, Options, CDE’s, Payment and Registration Record. Welcome Page: The Welcome page consists of two buttons, New Registration and Modify Registration. If this is your first time logging in then you should clip on New Registration, if you have logged in before you should click on Modify Registration. The next step will be to enter your email address. You do not need to put anything in the coupon code if you have not received a code from the state staff.

Day of Service
(More options to be added soon)
On Thursday May 5th students NOT competing in CDEs will be required to participate in a
Day of Service Project.
Please read each of the service project descriptions below and sign your students up. Each
service project will correspond with a different t-shirt color. Students will be expected to wear
their shirt while participating in the project that day. Each project can only take a certain number
of students, so try and get your students to all go to the same project. We will have adult
chaperones to supervise students at each project.
**Note** Shirts will be mailed to your chapter before you arrive at convention. The t-shirt sizes
you request for that service project will be the sizes that get sent to you. Students will have to
attend that service project, they can not switch. The color shirt they receive will determine
which project that they participate in so they should come to convention with that T-shirt on,
unless they are competing in a CDE they should be in official dress. There will be time in
between the Day of Service project and the first session to check into your hotels and get
changed into official dress.
