MISSIONThe Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

KROC PROMISEBecause we want to rise above traditional customer service guidelines, we want to establish an atmosphere of “radical hospitality” as we interact with our guests. These guidelines can be seen on display at each Salvation Army facility, and include standards for communication, customer services, correspondance, and interactions with customers.

GYMNASIUM POLICIES• Children under 11 years of age MUST be accompanied by persons

16 years or older.

• Appropriate athletic attire must be worn. Soft soled non marking shoes are required.

• Courtesy to others and appropriate language are expected at all times. The Augusta Kroc Center has a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY - NO CUSSING OR FIGHTING. Players who do so will be asked to leave the facility immediately.

• Scheduled Kroc Center programs and activities may take priority over open recreation time. Please do not disrupt classes, events or leagues.

PICK UP GAME POLICYIf there are multiple players or teams waiting to play pick up games, a wait list will be created by the Gym Attendant on duty. This will allow an organized way for teams to compete. The next team down to play on the list will be responsible for keeping score of the current game. BASKETBALL: Games are to 21 by 1’s and 2’s. Since there are no official referee’s on site, players will have to call their own fouls. No shooting free throws, as fouls will be taken from half court.

To allow everyone the opportunity to compete, the winning team will stay on the court for a maximum of two (2) consecutive games. On their second win, the losing team will stay on and the winning team can be placed back on the play list.

We aim to provide an environment and atmosphere that is compliant with the Salvation Army’s policies and procedures. Foul Language is never appropriate and will be dealt with accordingly.

Our Indoor Athletic Space houses a Full Sized Basketball court that can be divided into 2 youth courts. 2 volleyball courts and space for a nationally sanctioned Futsal Court. Inquiries into the rental of our space are subject to availability and can be scheduled through our Sports and Recreation Department at 706.922.8361.

The Sports and Recreation Department of the Augusta Kroc Center consists of sports clinics, sports camps and sport leagues for adults and youth. We also offer events such as tournaments and pick up opportunities. Kroc Sport Leagues host 13 week leagues year round such as basketball, volleyball and futsal. Our leagues are fun, organized and include fun-friendly competition.
