Goal. Industry will understand new business opportunities.

How many units we have sold in the past decade? How many of those units is still functional now and after 5 years? Can we increase lifetime of the units by selling IoT solutions? Can we increase efficiency of the units by selling IoT solutions? Can we increase availability of the units by selling IoT solutions? Can we increase customer satisfaction by offering new era solutions? How much we can save , in our quarantee losses by using IoT solutions? How much additional work can be saved when we have JIT information via IoT

solutions? How much it will help , if we got real-time information anytime and anywhere available? How much real-time and history data can solve issues in our technology and

development department? Do we need more services to fulfill our customers future needs? Are our competitors already far away , while comparing their IoT offering?

Today’s Situation Businesses are suffering because of old fashioned services. Scheduled maintenance is used , not based for the real need. Lot of losses because of availability issues and unexpected breakdowns. Running of units is not efficient , total optimization is undone. Lack of offering services are “product” based, not based for the customer need. Lack of resources environment , systems and organizations are not ready. Lack of knowledge Vision and strategy are not clear. Core knowhow is too fragmented or even outsourced. Unclear responsibilities . The courage to make new things missing. Customers are not interested about new era solutions. Lot of “We can do this ourselves” thinking. Consumer side is already going strong .

How did we get here? Organizations , fragmentation and outsourcing? Leadership is lost ? Communication? Industry conservatism? Globalisation and global competition ? World economy and bubbles. Products are high quality enough , but new era services are just beginning. Hurry and business driven … or still researching …

Available Options Focus for the new era services. Make decisions and keep them. Check services offering and re-build portfolio. Check service environment to serve future services. Ensure humans competitiveness and amount of resources Ensure that used technics are world class Co-operate , "lonely rider" is slow. Think end customer and company shareholders and make their life

easier.

Time is running out , start IoT now . Most probably there is solutions already available. Make decision with committee

group and act . Money talk to money invest to IoT and you can win … without you will lose anyhow…
