I would like to thank my family and friends for supporting me on my quest to be President of The Drifters. I believe if you belong to an outstanding group of four wheelers, you should be active and show support to that group. The Drifters have a large group of members compared to other 4x4 clubs. This is because we are like family in this club. We support each other through thick and thin. I want to send positive thoughts to Daryl and his family to get better soon so they can join us again. This has been a tough year so far and we will have to work around it and be safe. Thank you all for being at the July meeting. I would like to especially thank Jerry and Linda for hosting the July meeting in their backyard with Marshall as our watchdog. Our next meeting will be at the Past Presidents Picnic on August 15, 2020. Shannon and Judi will be making Bloody Mary’s at 10am, meeting will be at 11:00am. It will be a short meeting before our Bar-b-que and auction. I will be taking suggestions for meeting locations in the coming months. We had a great run last Saturday in Big Bear. It was a good turnout for my first run as president. We had great weather and 27 jeeps. All the new officers were on the run. It was good to be out of the house and seeing fellow Drifters enjoy-ing themselves, telling stories and having some new adventures. Hope to have many more runs in the future. Thank you… President Gary

August Run PPP Vail Lake KOA

Patrick Fay (909)532-2017 All Past Presidents

Past Presidents Picnic is still going to happen. August 14-16. We will need to be responsible and look out for our fellow members. Wear a face covering and wash your hands frequently. If you are not comfortable attending by all means, stay home. At the July meeting we discussed our plans to manage the PPP with social distancing as much as possible. It was agreed that we will not have a potluck. Families and friends will make their own side dishes and share at their own space. I will be grilling steaks and boiling corn still. We will try to get the raffle prizes out early to display so there isn’t a big crush to view the raffle prizes. Our turnout is extremely low for RV sites. 12 as of now. If you plan on going please call 951 303 0173. Tell them you are with the Drifters for the reduced rate. I will be cancelling all unused sites the first week of August. If you are coming for the day, please let me know. 909 532 2017 call or text. Email works too. [email protected]. If you have any questions or con-cerns, please let me know I hope to see you all there.
