Arc AttackWednesday, October 12, 2016 • Grades 4-8 • $6.00Part rock concert, part science experiment the creators of ArcAttack combine their love of music with science as the group invites the audience to explore concepts such as electricity, voltage and current, magnetism, robotics, and lightning through a show that’s both entertaining and interactive. The audience is engaged from start to finish as the groups trusty, completely automated robot drummer King Beat introduces the audience to basic electricity concepts including Atoms, charges and batteries and who came up with all this stuff (Alessandro Volta and Nicola Tesla!). White’s best- selling children’s paperback book of all time, Charlotte’s Web tells the story of a pig named Wilbur and his friendship with an extraordinary barn spider named Charlotte. When Wilbur is in danger of a trip to the butcher, Charlotte is determined to save him. She begins her campaign with the “miracle” of her web in which she writes “Some Pig” to persuade the farmer to let him live. It’s the beginning of a victorious plot which ultimately ends with the now-safe Wilbur doing what is most important to Charlotte.
