Gary Leutzinger

From Your Missionary

My heart is rejoicing for what God hasdone this summer through our campsand our association mission team thatwent to Townsend, TN. Let me tell youwhat God did in July!

The day camp went great, and we hadmore this year than last. Our team didan awesome job leading the childrenthrough a seven hour day camp for fourdays. There were specific Bible stories

for each day, and everything was centered around thestory. The week was very hot, but the staff and childrenenjoyed their time everyday in the pool! I know that Godis working in these young lives, and I can’t wait to seewhat He does as they learn what it means to love God andserve Him!

God poured His Spirit out upon the youth camp. We had15 campers, and God did amazing things in everyone whoparticipated. There were many decisions for rededication, and it was awesome to see how God moved in theinvitation time after each service. After the Friday eveningservice, the Spirit was moving so powerfully that thegroups split off and God continued to work! I appreciateJenni Taylor, Danielle Walls, Christian Abercrombie andRebekah Bowen for their hard work to make the campsuccessful. I also am thankful for my wife Laura and hersister Janice Bacon for preparing the food for the day campand the youth camp. I also want to thank John Eidenire andhis worship team for leading our worship!

The association mission team had a great week inTownsend, TN. This was our first year of doing thisparticular ministry, and God used the team in a mighty wayto share the Gospel with many children and multiplefamilies. We praise God for one of the children whoprayed to receive Christ and for the others who heard theGospel! There were many special moments, and I can tellyou that God used our teams to minister to all kinds ofpeople with many spiritual needs. Please pray for lives thatwere impacted and that God will continue to work in theirhearts! We look forward to continuing this ministry nextyear!

As I close, let me remind and encourage you to attend ourAnnual Meeting September 11 at First Church, Vienna. We will once again meet at 5:00 p.m. and begin with abrief business session and then immediately move intoworship. We are also making plans to have a children’sconference and youth rally at the same time. Stay tuned infor further details!

It is a great joy serving as your associational missionary, and I thank God everyday for all of our pastors andchurches! May God continue to have His way in our livesand may we continue to look to Him as we work togetherto build the Kingdom of God!

Bro. Gary
