The Mighty 5®: Utah’s National ParksVisitUtah.com
Arches National ParkHome to the world’s largest concentration of natural stone arches, this “miracle of nature” is 73,000-acres of red, arid desert. Discover over 2,000 eroded sandstone forms such as pinnacles, spires, balanced rocks and arches. Enjoy hiking around the park through various labyrinths and trails located just five miles from Moab.nps.gov/arch
Bryce Canyon National ParkEach year over 1.5 million people visit Bryce Canyon and take advantage of its recreational opportunities like hiking, horseback riding, biking and ATV tours. During the winter enjoy cross- country skiing and sleigh rides. One of its main attractions is the orange growing drip castles!brycecanyon.com
Canyonlands National ParkCanyons and plateaus carved by two major rivers – the Colorado and the Green – make for some of the most challenging 4X4 roads and whitewater rapids in the world. The rivers divide the park into four districts: the Island in the Sky, the Needles, the Maze and the rivers themselves. Explore all districts and find countless canyons, tributaries and buttes. Lots of sightseeing and exploration in the wild. Located to the west of Moab.nps.gov/cany
Capitol Reef National ParkThis Park is characterized by sandstone formations, spectacular colored cliffs and canyons, and a 100-mile long buckling in the earth’s crust called the Waterpocket Fold. Erosion has carved the rock into marvelous shapes. Since its designation as a national park in 1971, the majesty of Capitol Reef has been intriguing visitors with its spectacular landscape. nps.gov/care
Zion National ParkZion is the first national park and most popular park in Utah. Walk the trails and paths where ancient native people and pioneers explored. The park is known for its incredible canyons and spectacular views. Hiking is the major reason visitors come to the Park and there are many options from easy, leisurely strolls to strenuous hikes through the slot canyons. The scenic byways offer a completely different way to enjoy the scenery.zionnationalpark.com
