Rocky Mountaineer is one of the worlds classic rail journeys. In RedLeaf Service, enjoy large picture windows and fully reclining seats with extended legroom. Breakfast and lunch are served at your seat, so you wont miss a single sight along the way. In SilverLeaf Service, experience panoramic windows and a single-level dome coach. Breakfast and lunch are served at your seat with choice of entres. Upgrade to GoldLeaf Dome Service and travel in the dual-level dome for 360-degree views. An elegant dining car serves regional cuisine. If traveling on the Whistler Sea to Sky route, Whistler Classic Service, youll enjoy large picture windows, access to the open-air observation car, breakfast served at your seat, and commentary by onboard attendants.

VIA Rails Canadian retraces the historic transcontinental route. Travel in Sleeper Plus class and enjoy an award-winning first-class bedroom. Day 1 FAIRBANKS. Welcome to Fairbanks, the states second-largest city. Enjoy time at leisure to relax or to do some independent exploring. Your Tour Director is on hand this evening to answer any questions.

Day 2 FAIRBANKS. Morning sightseeing features the highlights of this historic Alaskan city and includes a visit to the Alyeska Pipeline and the chance to learn about the Gold Rush heritage of this community. Board the STERNWHEELER RIVERBOAT Discovery III for a leisurely cruise on the Nenana and Tanana Rivers, and visit a recreated ATHABASCAN INDIAN VILLAGE. Listen as the ships guides discuss the wildlife, history, geology, and customs of the region.

Day 3 FAIRBANKSDENALI NATIONAL PARK. Today we make our way from Fairbanks to DENALI NATIONAL PARK. Stop in the town of Nenana, where they drove the golden spike in 1923 to signal the completion of the Alaska Railroad. Your afternoon and evening are free for exploring on your own. Take advantage of the park service programs, along with optional activities that can be purchased.

Day 4 DENALI NATIONAL PARK. A free day for independent activities. A hike along the many wilderness trails might be good fun. Also take advantage of several optional outings, including a wildlife tour to seek out grizzly bears, caribou, moose, and Dall sheep; a raft trip down the

Nenana River; or a helicopter ride over the park. Your Tour Director will have plenty of other suggestions.

Day 5 DENALI NATIONAL PARKANCHORAGE.Board the world-famous ALASKA RAILROAD for a memorable journey as you wind along the Susitna River to Anchorage. Sit back in comfort and enjoy spectacular scenery through wide windows. Be sure to take advantage of the domed-roof car and, if the weather cooperates, you will have the opportunity to view Mount McKinley from the train.

Day 7 ANCHORAGE. SEWARD EXCURSION. Travel this morning to Seward, Gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park, on the Seward Highway, a designated National Scenic Byway. Included is a visit to the ALASKA SEALIFE CENTER, a research facility that offers an up-close experience with marine wildlife from the Gulf of Alaska. Witness a stellar sea lion gliding past underwater viewing windows, puffins diving in a carefully crafted naturalistic habitat, and harbor seals resting on rocky beaches. Your afternoon is free to join some optional adventures such as a cruise into Kenai Fjords National Park, where you travel up to the face of a glacier, or visit the kennels of the Seavey family, winners of the

Iditarod Races from 2012-2014, and ride behind a dogsled team at Ididaride. If you choose to stay in Seward, enjoy lunch in the charming downtown and a scenic walk along the coastal trail. This evening, return to Anchorage.

Day 9 SCENIC CRUISING: GLACIER BAY. Glacier Bay has more actively calving tidewater glaciers than anyplace else in the world. Day 10 HAINES. Nestled on the shores of Americas longest fjord, Haines enjoys a spectacular setting. You may choose to fill your day with a float trip through Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve, home to the largest annual gathering of bald eagles, or stop by the Sheldon Museum, art galleries, and local shops in town. Day 11 JUNEAU. Located at the foot of grand mountain peaks on Gastineau Channel, Alaskas capital city of Juneau has massive Mendenhall Glacier and the Juneau Icefield at its back door. Juneau is a place to let your imagination run wild. Visit the rustic shops in townor get out and kayak, dogsled, raft, hike, whale watch, flightsee, or fish. Theres no end to the adventure because of the long daylight hours. Climb aboard the Mount Roberts Tramway for a great spot to hike and shoot a souvenir photo. (B,L,D)

Day 12 KETCHIKAN. Built out over the water and up weathered stairways, Ketchikan clings to the shores of Tongass Narrows and drapes the mountains with a hospitable air. (B,L,D)

Day 17 BANFF NATIONAL PARK. Enjoy a day of scenic grandeur. Todays excursion takes you to the hub of adventure and exploration in the Canadian Rockies. Johnston Canyon has a series of catwalks imbedded into the walls of the canyon, making the two main waterfalls more accessible for viewing. Last but not least is the scenic grandeur of Lake Louise, whose turquoise waters create a perfect natural mirror that reflects the surroundings. After a delicious deli-style lunch from the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, you can enjoy a leisurely walk around the lake, take the short hike to Lake Agnes and its famous teahouse, or even explore the world-famous Chateau. Day 18 BANFF NATIONAL PARK. Full day at leisure. Banff is one of Canadas favorite year-round resorts, and your local representative will suggest an optional gondola ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain, a helicopter ride over the Canadian Rockies, plus much more.

Reach Dawson City, the center of excitement after the first gold strike in the Klondike in 1896, which led to the worlds largest gold rush. Tonight, enjoy the high-flying entertainment of DIAMOND TOOTH GERTIES SALOON, featuring ragtime music, can-can girls, and an old-fashioned casino.

Day 7 DAWSON CITY. A full day to soak up the exciting history of this Gold Rush town. Highlights on your morning tour include Bonanza Creek, site of Claim #1, where the first gold strike was made; Robert Services cabin; and a photo stop at the SS Keno, the last sternwheeler to run between Dawson and Whitehorse.

Day 8 DAWSON CITYFAIRBANKS. A long day and well worth it, as the scenery is magnificent. Motor over the Top of the World Highway and re-enter Alaska. Travel through the village of Chicken and west on the Alaska Highway. Stop at an authentic Alaska roadhouse before your early evening arrival in Fairbanks.

Day 9 FAIRBANKS. Morning sightseeing features the highlights of Alaskas second-largest city and includes a visit to the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. Board the STERNWHEELER RIVERBOAT Discovery III for a leisurely cruise on the Chena and Tanana Rivers. Listen as the ships guides discuss the wildlife, history, geology, and

customs of the region.

Day 10 FAIRBANKSDENALI NATIONAL PARK. Board the world-famous ALASKA RAILROAD for a memorable journey through untamed wilderness. Sit back in comfort and enjoy spectacular scenery through wide windows. Be sure to take advantage of the domed-roof car. The ride ends in DENALI NATIONAL PARK. North Americas highest peak, 20,320-foot Mount McKinley, dominates the parks 6 million acres of glacial streams, river valleys, and multicolored tundra. The afternoon is free for exploring on your own.

Day 11 DENALI NATIONAL PARK. A free day for independent activities. A hike along the many wilderness trails might be good fun. Also take advantage of several optional outings, including a wildlife tour to seek out grizzly bears, caribou, moose, and Dall sheep; a raft trip down the Nenana River; or a helicopter ride over the park. Your Tour Director will have plenty of other suggestions.

Day 12 DENALI NATIONAL PARKANCHORAGE. Continue your exploration of DENALI NATIONAL PARK as you head south toward Anchorage. Stop along the way at the IDITAROD VISITOR CENTER, home of the great dogsled race. The motorcoach continues to Anchorage and the Ramada Inn Anchorage Downtown for guests extending their stay in Alaska. For guests with homebound flights, the

trip ends at Anchorage International Airport. However, with possible delays for weather, we strongly suggest that guests do not book flights prior to 4 pm.

Day 14 JUNEAU. Located at the foot of grand mountain peaks on Gastineau Channel, Alaskas capital city of Juneau has massive Mendenhall Glacier and the Juneau Icefield at its back door. Juneau is a place to let your imagination run wild. Visit the rustic shops in townor get out and kayak, dogsled, raft, hike, whale watch, flightsee, or fish. Theres no end to the adventure because of the long daylight hours. Climb aboard the Mount Roberts Tramway for a great spot to hike and shoot a souvenir photo. (B,L,D)

Day 15 SKAGWAY. In winter, the sidewalks are all but rolled up in Skagway, so you can imagine the frightful conditions endured by gold prospectors who passed through en route to the Yukon. Take your time and poke your head into every little shop, from the Trail Bench to Lynch & Kennedys Dry Goods. The Red Onion Saloon, with its honky-tonk piano and costumed barmaids, is a treasure trove of memorabilia featuring pictures of Klondike Kate, Peahull Annie, and other historic characters. Day 1 VANCOUVER. Welcome to Vancouver! Enjoy time at leisure to relax or to do some independent exploring. Your Tour Director is on hand this evening to answer any questions.

Day 2 VANCOUVER. This morning, an included city tour highlights STANLEY PARK, Chinatown, the harbor and beaches, and more. The remainder of the day is at leisure; your Tour Director will have suggestions for your further exploration of the city. Take a water taxi to lively Granville Island with its outdoor markets, street musicians, and waterfront cafs. Or, visit historic Gastown with its steam-powered clock, antique shops, art galleries, and street vendors.

Day 3 VANCOUVERKELOWNA. This morning, our journey begins in British Columbias fertile valleys and continues through rich mountain forests to Lake Okanagan. Travel along the lake to the resort city of

Kelowna, attractively set on the lake shore and surrounded by orchards and vineyards. Sample the local wines on the included WINERY TOUR this afternoon.

Day 4 KELOWNABANFF NATIONAL PARK. Motor north through the Okanagan Valley, famous for its peaches and vineyards. Then, begin the climb up 4,379-foot-high Rogers Pass in GLACIER NATIONAL PARK. Take a break at the pass, a perfect spot for photos of the impressively rugged mountains, glaciers, and waterfalls. Enter YOHO NATIONAL PARK and scale Kicking Horse Pass at an altitude of 5,421 feet. This evening, reach BANFF NATIONAL PARK, gateway to the majestic Canadian Rockies.

Day 5 BANFF NATIONAL PARK. Banff is one of Canadas favourite year-round resorts, with activities ranging from skiing in winter to hiking,

boating, and fishing in summer. With this free day, your Tour Director will suggest an optional helicopter ride over the Canadian Rockies.

Day 6 BANFF NATIONAL PARKLAKE LOUISECOLUMBIA ICEFIELDJASPER NATIONAL PARK. A day of scenic grandeur. First, Lake Louise, its turquoise waters a perfect natural mirror that reflects the mountains and glaciers. A highlight on todays agenda is a stop at the COLUMBIA ICEFIELD to board the Ice Explorer, an all-terrain vehicle that travels on ice that is 1,200 feet thick. Precipitous gorges, snowcapped summits, and lakes of exquisite blues and greens come into view as the motorcoach continues northward into JASPER NATIONAL PARK. Late this afternoon, your Tour Director suggests an optional float trip down the Athabasca River. Enjoy an orientation tour of Jasper townsite upon arrival.

Day 7 JASPER NATIONAL PARK. Today, join our optional excursion to Maligne Lake and Spirit Island, where you embark on a narrated cruise of the lake. The balance of the day is free to enjoy everything Jasper has to offerfrom guided hikes and quaint shops to meandering wildlife.

Day 8 JASPER NATIONAL PARKMOUNT ROBSONSUN PEAKS. Leave Jasper and follow the Fraser River to the base of Mount Robson, the highest mountain in the Canadian Rockies, peaking at 12,972 feet. Continue following the Yellowhead Highway south along the North Thompson Rivera route pioneered by fur trappers a century ago. Overnight at the mountain resort of Sun Peaks.

Day 9 SUN PEAKSLILLOOETWHISTLER. Head south, following the once-treacherous Cariboo Wagon Trail. Via LillooetMile 0 of the Gold Rush Routeyour motorcoach will follow the shores of Seton and Duffey Lakes, with a late-afternoon arrival in Whistler. Tonight, wander the many alpine trails or enjoy the shopping and great selection of restaurants and nightlife.

Day 10 WHISTLER. Spend the day in the alpine resort of Whistler, nestled at the base of breathtaking Blackcomb Mountain. Free time to explore many of the 2010 Winter Olympics sites or join one of the many optional excursions, including flightseeing by floatplane over the lakes and glaciated peaks of Garibaldi Provincial Park.

Day 11 WHISTLERFERRY CROSSINGVICTORIA. This morning, sail across the Strait of Georgia and through the spectacular Gulf Islands, an archipelago known for its Mediterranean-type climate. Afternoon arrival in Victoria. Sightseeing

today includes Marine Drive, Bastion Square, and Thunderbird Park with its unusual collection of totem poles. Then, visit world-famous BUTCHART GARDENS, one of Victorias most celebrated sites and rated among the most beautiful gardens in the world. Once there, stroll through the colorful arrangements of the Sunken Garden, the Japanese and Italian Gardens, the English Rose Garden, and the magnificent Ross Fountain.

Day 12 VICTORIA. Today is at leisure to discover some of the attractions this splendid city has to offer, including the Royal British Columbia Museum, Afternoon Tea at the Fairmont Empress Hotel, an IMAX presentation at the National Geographic Theatre, whale watching on the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and fine shopping along Government Street.

Day 13 VICTORIAFERRY CROSSINGVANCOUVER (EMBARKATION). Early this morning, board the ferry for a scenic crossing to the mainland. Upon arrival, transfer to Canada Place to board Holland Americas MS Noordam or MS Volendam for an unforgettable Inside Passage cruise. (D)
