President’s Award: Non-Michigan freshmen and transfers who enter CMU with a 2.75 GPA (and 30 credits for transfer students) pay the in-state tuition rate. That’s a savings of 50 percent!

Merit Scholarships: Out-of-state students are eligible for merit-based scholarships and can qualify for one of these academic awards simply by submitting an application for admission. Applications received byNov. 15 are given priority consideration.

Academic Prestige Award: $24,000 over four years. Qualify with a 3.25 GPA and a 27 ACT (1210 SAT).

Academic Excellence Award: $18,000 over four years. Qualify with a 3.0 GPA and a 23 ACT (1050 SAT).

Academic Success Award: $12,000 over four years. Qualify with a 3.0 GPA and a 21 ACT (980 SAT).

Residence Life Grant for Freshmen: $8,000 over four years. Qualify with a 3.0 GPA and an 18 ACT (940 SAT).

Community College Honors Scholarship for Transfers: $5,000 over two years. Qualify with a 3.5 GPA and 56 transferable credits.

Community College Transfer Recognition Scholarship: $2,000 over two years. Qualify with a3.3 GPA and 30 transferable credits.

Residence Life Grant for Transfers: $4,000 over two years. Qualify with 30 transferable credits.

Competitive Scholarships:Centralis Scholarships: Up to 150 students earn scholarships ranging from full tuition to a full ride.High school seniors with a 3.7 GPA and a 27 ACT are eligible to compete on campus for these awards.

Leader Advancement Scholarships: Up to 40 students earn $8,000 over four years based on their leadership experience and interests.

Multicultural Advancement Scholarships: Up to 70 students are rewarded for their work with multicultural populations with awards ranging from $16,500 to $42,000 over four years.

Lem Tucker Scholarship: Awards up to two students majoring in Journalism or Broadcast and Cinematic Arts with full tuition, room and board.
