Overview This qualification reflects the role of individuals who are engaged to manage the work of others or to add value to or review management practices. Their role may be in any industry or organisational setting. INTRODUCTORY SAFETY & HEALTH REPRESENTATIVE

Overview The Introductory Safety and Health Representative Course is accredited by the Commission for Safety and Heath WA. Consisting of 5 modules, this course prepares the SHR to assist employees and the employer to embrace a proactive, safe and healthy working environment.

SHR’s may elect to complete on the job activities and assignments after the course which would enable them to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning towards the Certificate III in OHS or alternatively, to upgrade to the Certificate IV in OHS.

Overview Certificate IV in Frontline Management has been customised for the mining industry and is structured over 5 face to face workshops, self-paced study and on the job learning.

Learning Outcome This qualification reflects the role of individuals who take the first line of management in the mining industry. They may have existing qualifications and technical skills in any given vocation or profession, yet require skills or recognition in supervisory functions. Typically they would report to a manager.

At this level frontline managers provide leadership and guidance to others and take responsibility for the effective functioning and performance of the team and its work outcomes.
