PREMIUM HAND APPLIED GILL TAG CLIPSKetchum is now offering a new style of Hand Applied Fish Tag which is designed to clip the gill plate of whole fish sold head on such as salmon. The tag can also be applied to the tail section of finfish as well. The food contact approved plastic clip has a custom printed adhesive label applied to it allowing companies to brand identify their products, promote catch or growth procedures and even use the clip as a traceability program.

FASTKETCHAUTOMATIC, HIGH SPEED FISH TAGGINGThe FastKetch tagging system is designed to tag fish at up to 200 fish per minute. Each food grade approved plastic tag has a 1 inch by 1 inch printable surface and an arrow shaped tab that secures in a gill plate. Tags are sold heat sealed into bundles of 150 tags for quick and easy loading of the tagging unit. The system can be used on whole fish, head on gill gutted fish, head off fish, or fillets and steaks.

The tagging system is usually sold with a suspension pulley system allowing it to be suspended from a ceiling.

The model 2830-210 is the applicator used when tagging through gill plates or tail fins as it contains a small knife that pierces the product just before the tag is applied. The model 2830-05 is a very similar applicator but it does not contain the same style of knife. This applicator is designed to apply tags to fillets or other soft textures. The model 1520 applies the smaller size of FastKetch tag pictured at the bottom of this page. Ketchum Manufacturing offers a full range of parts and supplies for our FastKetch applicators for on-site maintenance and we offer full repair service at our factory as well.

MUSSEL BAG TAGSOne click of our hand held applicators and each bag can be professionally tagged. Our tags can be used in partnership with whatever system you are using now as our tag would be applied after the bag is sealed. As with all of our seafood products the tags are waterproof and temperature resistant so storing them on ice is not an issue.
