Hockey Academics
“Academically I would like to maintain a 90+% average. Athletically I would like to continue competing in elite divisions, participating in many different sports. In regards to hockey I want to go however far it takes me, as I am in love with the game and lifestyle.” What I can bring to my team: “I can support my team in achieving goals by setting a good example (being a role model), encouraging and motivating my teammates. I also provide a strong defensive presence and am a good playmaker.” How I am working to grow as a player: “I would like to improve the offensive part of my game. Rather than just defending so often, I’d like to learn how to contribute more to our offense and help create more opportunities for the team.”
From Rowan “Rowan is a focused athlete who works hard to incorporate new skills into her game. She is able to use her natural athleticism and the intangible qualities she utilizes in other sports to help her be successful. “Rowan is extremely quick, both in small spaces and in open ice; she also has a strong physical presence. Over the past year, her offensive skills and impact have grown significantly. She is confident carrying the puck up ice, makes intelligent cross ice passes through the neutral zone, and has an excellent, quick release from the point.”
