UVA ALL-TIME IN THE BIG TEN/ACC CHALLENGE • The Cavaliers have a 9-6 record, including a 4-4 road mark, in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. • Virginia defeated former ACC rival Maryland 76-65 in College Park in the Challenge last season. • UVA has won their last three road games in the event, winning at Minnesota (2010), Wisconsin (2012) and Maryland (2014). • The ACC leads the Big Ten in the Challenge 10-4-2 in 16 years of competition between the two conferences. • The Big Ten captured the Commissioner’s Cup last season, winning eight of the 14 matchups. • The ACC looks for its first win in the Challenge since winning 10 straight from 1999-2008. OHIO STATE • Virginia and Ohio State will meet for the first time in the Big Ten/ ACC Challenge and fifth time overall. •UVA and OSU last met in 1981 when Ralph Sampson poured in 40 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in UVA’s 89-73 win over Ohio State. • The Buckeyes own a 3-1 advantage, including a 2-0 mark in Columbus, over the Cavaliers in the all-time series that dates back to 1931-32. AGAINST THE BIG TEN CONFERENCE • UVA is 99-129 all-time vs. current Big Ten Conference opponents. • The Cavaliers are 5-5 against Big Ten opponents under head coach Tony Bennett, including wins against Maryland, Minnesota, Michi- gan, Wisconsin and Rutgers. • In 2014-15, UVA defeated Rutgers (45-26) and Maryland (76-65) and lost to Michigan State (60-54) for the second consecutive season in the NCAA Tournament. BACK TO THE FUTURE • Virginia’s 81.0 points per game average is its highest under Tony Bennett and highest since averaging 85.0 points in 2000-01. • UVA has tallied 80 or more points in five of six games this season, including four straight, after recording 80 or more points in two of 34 games in 2014-15. • The last time UVA scored 80 or more points in five straight games was a seven-game stretch from Jan. 16-Feb. 7, 2001. • The Cavaliers scored 82 or more points in three straight games (Nov. 19-22 at Charleston Classic) for the first time since the first three games of the 2001-02 season. INTERVIEWSAll requests for interviews with Virginia basketball coaches and players should be made through Erich Bacher in the athletics me-dia relations office. It is requested you allow the athletics media relations staff at least one day to arrange an interview.

POSTGAME INTERVIEWSVirginia head coach Tony Bennett, the visiting head coach and two Virginia student-athletes will meet with media representa-tives in the press room after each game at John Paul Jones Arena. Coach Bennett will be available in the press room approximately 10 minutes after the conclusion of the game, followed by the visiting head coach and two Virginia student-athletes. Other Virginia players will be available upon request in the Courtside Club after the Virginia student-athletes’ press conference.

RADIOEach visiting school is allowed one radio broadcast from John Paul Jones Arena. The Virginia athletics media relations office provides two ISDN lines and three business touchtone lines for use by the visiting broadcast crew. Radio network crews work from a courtside location at the scorer’s table. Three seats are available at the table and one seat behind the visitor’s broadcast location.

GAME SERVICESInformation packets are available before each game at John Paul Jones Arena, and a full statistical summary and play-by-play sheets are distributed at halftime and after the game. Head coach and player quotes will be available after postgame interviews. A pregame meal is served for working members of the media in the press room on the event level of John Paul Jones Arena.

TELEPHONES/WIRELESSThe Virginia athletics media relations office will have a limited number of telephones available for postgame reporting. Should you require your own telephone for game coverage, please contact Erich Bacher in the Virginia athletics media relations of-fice. A wireless network is available at John Paul Jones Arena for visiting media. A UVA media relations representative will provide login directions.

ACC COACHES TELECONFERENCEThe 2016 ACC Men’s Basketball Weekly Teleconference begins Monday, Jan. 4, 2016, and continues each Monday through Feb. 29. Each coach will have 10 minutes to make an opening state-ment and answer questions. There will be an instant replay of each teleconference on the Conference’s internet site TheACC.com each Monday afternoon. Coaches whose teams play on Monday evening will not participate in that day’s teleconference.
