Unfortunately, Ms. Sheingold had left early for the day. I want to appeal the FOIL decline letter on the grounds that the Attorney General's Office collects complaints filed based on housing issues. So that my request can be meaningful, I would like to learn how the Attorney General's Office classifies its housing complaints. I will call Ms. Sheingold's office again tomorrow, but, in the meantime, I would appreciate feedback in writing on how : (a). the Attorney General's Office organizes its housing complaints (by what categories or subcategories) ; and (b). whether the Attorney General's Office prepares any managerial reports that summarize or analyze housing complaints, based on your internal category or subcategory systems. I think receiving information/guidance on (a) and (b) above will help me determine how best to rephrase my FOIL request, so that the Attorney General's Office can produce responsive records.
