  • Blonde Lalaloopsy doll

  • About copyright: Its really something great when people like what I have designed. You can sell the final item or whatever you like, but it would be nice to reference where you found the pattern!

I would also like to emphasize that all the patterns I publish have been designed entirely by me and when some bits have been inspired by the work of other people, I reference them. I hate plagiarism: in my professional life I research and publish papers in scientific journals and Im truly aware that piracy is hideous.

If there is anything you do not understand or there are any mistakes, please, send me a message!

As you can see in the way I write, English is not my first language. So, you could come across some mistakes and grammatical inconsistencies. Sorry and my apologies!

This file describes how to crochet a doll that has some resemblance to the very well known Lalaloopsy dolls, the plastic dolls that resemble a sewn doll. My daughter loves them, she has an extensive collection: mini lalas, little lalas, big lalas This is the third doll Ive crocheted, this time is for my niece, she is also a Lala fan, so she showed me her favorite mini lala (you can see a photo in this file) and Ive tried my best. She didnt want the cheeks and we got an agreement that the shoes were going to be turquoise as the hidden pieces of clothes . This doll cannot be undressed, what you get is what you see! The boots and the dress have been crocheted working in the back loop only. I wanted a different effect for the clothes. Ah!!! It is really very very big! Around 50cm tall!!!!

ABOUT YARN: The yarn is Alaska from Katia (Spanish manufacturer). Yardage: 3.5 ounces (100 grams) and 126 yards (115 meters).

Number of skeins: 2 white, 2 yellow, 1 beige (skin), 1 turquoise. ABOUT GAUGE: It is not important, as far as you are consistent with your tension. ABOUT HOOK: 4 mm hook Remember that when making amigurumis, stitches should be tight. YOU WILL NEED: Yarn for the doll and some black yarn for the mouth and eyelashes.

  • Two buttoms. Stuffing. Tapestry needle. ABOUT CROCHET TERMS: Ive followed the US terminology. Stitch: st Chain: ch Slip stitch: sl st Single crochet: sc Treble: tr FLO: Front Loop Only BLO: Back Loop Only Sc2tog: decreasing two sc (i.e., 2 st become 1) Sc3tog: decreasing 3 sc (i.e. 3 stitches become 1) Mini Bobble: yarn over, insert hook in next stitch, [yarn over and draw up a loop]

repeat 4 times, yarn over and draw hook through all the remaining loops. Picot: ch3, sl st in 1st ch.
