A simple pump solution for difficult pumping applications
RP2 Peristaltic Hose Pump and RP Mini Pump
Excellent Minerals Solutions
ENVIROTECH®
Peristaltic Pumps
The heavy duty Envirotech® RP2 peristaltic hose pump has a distinct advantage. Each pump is equipped with heavy duty bearings and shaft to carry the radial force from the rotor. This design protects the gear box from any transmitted stress and drastically increases its life. There is no need for a coupling, and motor alignment is no longer required. Along with a planetary gearbox, minimum footprint is achieved.
Instead of using a cast iron construction, the rugged pump and bearing frame are constructed of high tensile strength ductile iron. The Envirotech® RP2 peristaltic hose pump fulfills the industry’s needs by providing high quality performance and long working life.
The Weir Group has manufactured peristaltic hose pumps for over twenty years. The Envirotech® RP2 peristaltic hose pump is superbly simple and is ideal for pumping chemicals, slurries, sludges and other difficult corrosive and abrasive materials.
Simple to maintain and operate
• No seals or flush water
• No valves
• Runs dry
• Rugged, heavy duty, ductile iron construction
Whatever your industry… it is the pump for:
• Pilot plants
• High density/concentration fluids
• High viscosity media
• Shear sensitive fluids
• Stringy material
• Corrosives
• Abrasives
• Crystallizing products
• Dosing
• Self-priming
• High maintenance applications
• Dry running
• Operating without mechanical seals or flush water
The Envirotech® RP2 peristaltic hose pump is one of the most simple and reliable positive displacement pumps available in the industry
Suction DischargeTransfer
How the pump works
As the rotor turns, the hose is alternately compressed by two specially contoured shoes attached to the rotor which causes intermittent aspiration. This action draws the product into the hose where it is then pushed forward within the hose by the next rotating shoe until the product is discharged from the pump. The hose recovers its original shape immediately after the passage of each shoe, aided by an interactive vacuum system if required. Constant lubrication and cooling is provided by a specially formulated lubricant within the pump housing.

4-5: Multi-layer hose manufacturing
6: Manufacturing facility
There are a lot of hose pumps out there, but the heavy duty design of the Envirotech® RP2 peristaltic hose pump gives it a distinct advantage
Hose options
The hose, which is the key to any successful pump of this type, is the result of years of extensive development and testing. The nylon reinforced and multi-layer design provides superior hose integrity, durability and reliability, and provides an extensive working life that is commensurate with the product being pumped and the duty conditions demanded.
Hose material options:
• Natural rubber
• Buna N (Nitrile)
• Hydrocarbon resistant elastomer
• Food grade elastomers
• EPDM rubber
• Hypalon 1 2
