Mayoral Message for 2012 Eisteddfod Program

Penrith City Council is once again a proud supporter of the 28th annual City of Penrith Eisteddfod. The Eisteddfod provides a wonderful opportunity for many gifted individuals to compete in a wide-ranging program of music, speech, drama and dance. It also gives people of all ages the chance to develop their talents and share them with a wide audience. The experience of competing in an Eisteddfod builds character, confidence and allows participants to learn about important life skills such as caring about your presentation and practice makes perfect. The City of Penrith Eisteddfod has an impressive record of achieving high standards and I am confident this year’s event will be no exception. I’d like to congratulate and thank The City of Penrith Eisteddfod Society members, the event organisers and sponsors for their ongoing dedication and support. On behalf of the Council and people of Penrith, I’d like to warmly welcome everyone who is visiting our City. I hope you have time during your stay to explore our tourist attractions enjoy our hospitality. I wish everyone involved an enjoyable and successful Eisteddfod Yours sincerely Councillor Greg Davies Mayor
