Few things are more important – when it comes to college – than finding a way to pay.

We don’t have space for everything you need to know about financial aid and paying for college.

So, here’s some introductory information and resources to learn more.

Scholarships. Grants. Loans. etc. etc. There are many ways to pay for college. Types of financial aid are the same at just about every college, including KCC: Grants, loans, federal work study and student employment. Scholarships are also offered, and require a separate application. Check out the resources listed here to learn what you really need to know.

Facts:• KCC offers more than 250

scholarships each year. KCC’s Foundation awarded $257,932 in scholarships in 2009-10.

• For 2009-10, 3,302 students (62% of annual credit division enrollment) received financial aid.

You can get involved through a variety of organizations and clubs. Whether you want to give back to the community, learn more about horticulture or just chat about a movie, KCC probably has a club for you. If you can’t find a club to fit your lifestyle or personality, there’s always the option to create a new one.

From musicians to comedians, with hypnotists tossed in for good measure, KCC offers entertainment each semester for students and the community.

Tapping into local talent, students also have been spotlighted at open mic nights, dances and theme days to meet people and share interests.

He was selected to participate in KCC’s Baccalaureate Scholars Program. This program is a competitive-entry, two-year program for academically talented and motivated students. Selected students who maintain program requirements receive full scholarships for tuition, fees and books.
