WARNINGLIGHTSANDCHIMES

Warninglightscanalertyoutoavehicleconditionthatmaybecomeseriousenoughtocauseexpensiverepairs.Awarninglightmayilluminatewhenaproblemexistswithoneofyourvehicle’sfunctions.Manylightswillilluminatewhenyoustartyourvehicletomakesurethebulbworks.Ifanylightremainsonafterstartingthevehicle,refertotherespectivesystemwarninglightforadditionalinformation.

Serviceenginesoon:TheserviceenginesoonindicatorilluminateswhentheignitionisfirstturnedtotheonpositiontocheckthebulbandtoindicatewhetherthevehicleisreadyforInspection/Maintenance(I/M)testing.Normally,theserviceenginesoonindicatorwillstayonuntiltheengineiscranked,thenturnitselfoffifnomalfunctionsarepresent.However,ifafter15secondstheserviceenginesoonindicatorblinkseighttimes,itmeansthatthevehicleisnotreadyforI/Mtesting.SeetheReadinessforInspection/Maintenance(I/M)testingintheMaintenanceandSpecificationschapter.

Solidilluminationaftertheengineisstartedindicatestheon-boarddiagnosticssystem(OBD-II)hasdetectedamalfunction.RefertoOn-boarddiagnostics(OBD-II)intheMaintenanceandSpecificationschapter.Ifthelightisblinking,enginemisfireisoccurringwhichcoulddamageyourcatalyticconverter.Driveinamoderatefashion(avoidheavyaccelerationanddeceleration)andhaveyourvehicleservicedimmediatelybyyourauthorizeddealer.

Ifthebrakesystemwarninglightdoesnotilluminateatthistime,seekserviceimmediatelyfromyourauthorizeddealer.Illuminationafterreleasingtheparkingbrakeindicateslowbrakefluidlevelandthebrakesystemshouldbeinspectedimmediatelybyyourauthorizeddealer.

WARNING:Drivingavehiclewiththebrakesystemwarninglightonisdangerous.Asignificantdecreaseinbraking

DisengagingspeedcontrolTodisengagespeedcontrol,tapthebrakepedalorclutchpedal(ifequipped)orpressCAN.Disengagingthespeedcontrolwillnoterasetheprevioussetspeed.Note:Whenyouusetheclutchpedaltodisengagethespeedcontrol,theenginespeedmaybrieflyincrease,thisisnormal.

ResumingasetspeedPressandreleaseRES.Thiswillautomaticallyreturnthevehicletothepreviouslysetspeed.

•UsetheacceleratorpedaltogettothedesiredspeedthenpressandreleaseSET+.

ReducingspeedwhileusingspeedcontrolToreducethesetspeed:•PressandholdSET–untilyougettothedesiredspeed,thenrelease.YoucanalsouseSET–tooperatethetap-downfunction.PressandreleaseSET–todecreasethevehiclesetspeedinapproximately1mph(2km/h)increments.

WARNING:Alwaysusefloormatsthataredesignedtofitthefootwellofyourvehicle.Onlyusefloormatsthatleavethepedal

areaunobstructed.Onlyusefloormatsthatarefirmlysecuredtoretentionpostssothattheycannotslipoutofpositionandinterferewiththepedalsorimpairsafeoperationofyourvehicleinotherways.•Pedalsthatcannotmovefreelycancauselossofvehiclecontrolandincreasetheriskofseriouspersonalinjury.•Alwaysmakesurethatthefloormatsareproperlyattachedtotheretentionpostsinthecarpetthataresuppliedwithyourvehicle.Floormatsmustbeproperlysecuredtobothretentionpoststoensurematsdonotshiftoutofposition.•Neverplacefloormatsoranyothercoveringinthevehiclefootwellthatcannotbeproperlysecuredtopreventthemfrommovingandinterferingwiththepedalsortheabilitytocontrolthevehicle.

Integratedkeyheadtransmitters(IKTs)(ifequipped)

Yourvehiclemaybeequippedwithtwointegratedkeyheadtransmitters(IKTs).Thekeybladeisusedtostartthevehicleandunlock/lockthedriver’sdoorfromoutsidethevehicle.Thetransmitterportionfunctionsastheremoteentrytransmitter.

YourIKTsareprogrammedtoyourvehicle;usinganon-programmedkeywillnotpermityourvehicletostart.IfyouloseoneorbothofyourIKTs,replacementsareavailablethroughyourauthorizeddealer.StandardSecuriLock�keyswithoutremoteentrytransmitterfunctionalitycanalsobepurchasedfromyourauthorizeddealerifdesired.

Alwayscarryasparekeywithyouincaseofanemergency.
