and Athletic Communication Bryan Marshall.

Caroline Bonynge is back for her third season as head coach of the Big Blue women’s soccer program.Millikin has had three straight 12 win seasons and last year under Bonynge the Big Blue advanced to theCollege Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin post season tournament for the first time in school history
with a fourth place regular season finish. Millikin returns 18 letter winners including all 11 starters from last season
and the Big Blue are ready to take their play to a higher level and competefor the top spot in the highly competitive College Conference of Illinois andWisconsin. In addition to the talented returners, Bonynge had another outstanding recruiting year bringing in several players who will challenge forplaying time this season and make significant contributions during their BigBlue careers.
The Big Blue’s six seniors are working hard to make their final season something to remember. The class is headed by Millikin’s top two all-timeleading scorers in Allison Horne and Brittany Belrichard. Horne holds theMillikin records for career goals (40), assists (27) and points (107), andearned CCIW All-Conference First Team honors last season. Belrichard wasnamed to the CCIW All-Conference Second Team last season and hasscored 35 goals in her career. Defender Tonya Romano leads the Millikindefense and Meghan Schroeder another three-year starter has shown she
can play strong defense and is a play maker fromthe midfield. Jess Gruca and Patrice Salernoshould provide valuable minutes off the Millikinbench.
Bonynge will expect major contributions fromMillikin juniors Chelsea Jones and Nikki Smith.Jones had eight goals and two assists last sea-son. Smith’s speed always makes her an offen-sive threat on the outside.
Millikin’s sophomore class is loaded with tal-ent. Goalkeepers Natalie Robertaccio and NikkiRisolute are both back and will be battling fortime in the net this season. Robertaccio had an11-7 record last year in goal with six shutouts.
Courtney Allen, Emily Allen, Michelle Costalunga, Dana Elia, Katie Mulderink, Brittany Rohling, ChelseaRottiers and Nicole Suedbeck will all be factors for the Big Blue this season.
