THANKSGIVING - November 25, 2010 New WRCC Ambassador Program We are excited to announce our new WRCC Ambassador Program. With the number of Chamber members constantly on the rise, the critical team of Chamber Ambassadors will volunteer to make one-on-one visits with Chamber members with the purpose of providing high-level education on Chamber resources, gauging member satisfaction, and promoting a positive member experience. Ambassadors are liaisons between the Chamber and our members. They volunteer their time to enhance the mission of the Chamber through enhanced communications with members as they assist with various Chamber activi- ties. They also compete for the Ambassador of the Year that is awarded to the individual who volunteers the most throughout the year. We are fortunate to have Carol Mills of Always and Forever Florist head up this exciting new program at WRCC. If you are interested in serving as an ambassador, please contact the chamber staff. November — RCHS Band Booster Christmas Tree Fundraiser, fresh cut Frasier Fir Christmas Trees will be sold in advance and picked up either at the Rockingham County High School (180 High School Road, Reidsville) on Saturday, November 27, from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. or you can take a trip to Meadows of Dan Virginia to pick out your own tree with a hayride and hot chocolate included. Dates for visiting the tree farm are Nov. 27 & 28 or Dec. 4 & 5. November 19 is the last day to put in orders for a tree. The NC Wine Competition is held every year as part of the NC State Fair for bragging rights among NC Wineries. A total of 454 wines were entered in this year’s competi-tion. The 2009 Chinqua Penn Vineyards Muscadine Blush earned the Double Gold - Best of Show award as a Native American Rosé wine. This wine is made with grapes grown in Rockingham County and is avail-able at Chinqua Penn. Chinqua Penn Vine-yards Syrah, Red Muscadine and Cabernet Franc also won medals.
