your impact is significant

The cumulative impact of giving to Charlotte Christian School’s annual Quality Plus Fund is remarkable! During the past five years, more than $2.7 million has been given.

God has truly blessed our students through the generous contributions of so many. Just think of how this annual support is impacting students: hundreds of text books and curriculum supplements, classroom technology through SMART Boards, and five computer labs on campus. Students are excelling in co-curricular programs including state titles in athletics and

fine arts. Support to the annual fund has provided hundreds of hours of professional development and conferences for our faculty. This training is significant when it comes to keeping our faculty on the cutting edge of the best practices in their respective fields.

As you can see, support to our annual Quality Plus Fund touches the lives and education of each student on our campus. Everyone can experience the joy that comes from supporting our students through a gift to the annual Quality Plus Fund.

HOW YOUR GIVING WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE THIS YEAR

what is the “gap”

Page 7: 2009-10 QPF brochure

At many christ-centered independent schools, tuition alone does not cover the full cost of education each year. Charlotte Christian is no exception. Support from the annual Quality Plus Fund provides the school with the essential operating dollars that bridge the gap between our tuition revenue and the full cost of providing a quality education for our students.

Based on our 2009-10 enrollment of 1,000 students this years gap is 2 percent ($210,000 ) of our operating budget.

We are very grateful for the many donors who have helped to fill the gap for 59 years.

positioning students for success

Among the many outcomes from the success of last year’s Quality Plus Fund campaign was the new language arts curriculum, 13 SMART Boards which enhanced student learning, and continuing education courses and conferences for faculty and staff.

During 2009-10 our goal is to fund a new reading curriculum for lower school students and install 13 additional SMART Boards in lower, middle and upper school classrooms, and the media center. Did you know there

are more than 250 computers installed on our campus to help students in their studies? This year 52 of these computers have been upgraded.

Through the generous support of the Parent Teacher Fellowship three of these additional SMART Boards were installed during the summer. This support came through student and family participation in the 2008-09 Boosterthon Fun Run.

long range Plan• install additional SMART Boards each year until every student benefits from this technology.

• consistently upgrade computer systems and the technology curriculum on our campus to ensure that students are at the forefront of technology and learning.

• fund continuing education experiences that advance our faculty in their disciplines and will consistently raise learning to new levels for our students.

a comprehensive program

Page 11: 2009-10 QPF brochure

Educating students to succeed in today’s world goes way beyond learning in the classroom. At Charlotte Christian we seek to develop programs that help students excel with their gifts and talents.

Our co-curricular programs now consist of more than 43 athletic teams in the middle and upper school, with intramural and interfaith programs in our lower and middle school. Students also stand out in the arts. There are now 23 fine

arts courses offered with three drama teams and seven main stage productions each year.

Last year our community celebrated the many successes of our students. State titles were won by fine arts - AcT 1, varsity football and baseball. Conference championships were enjoyed by middle school teams in boys basketball, baseball, and the boys track team which finished in first place.

So what is it that makes the annual Quality Plus Fund so successful? It is the generosity and support of our community year after year.

And this year will be no different. To meet our goal, it will take our community’s support. every gift to the annual fund makes a significant

difference. We are confident that god will use this generosity to continue to advance the mission of Charlotte Christian School.
