According to plans for development of UES of Russia, the annual requirement of the Russian power for high voltage cables (220 and 500 кВ) makes more than 1000 kilometres.

In Russia cables with XLPE 110кВ are issued in the limited volumes, cables 220кВ and pressure above – are not made in gen In Russia.

High-voltage cable joints in Russia also are not made.

The requirement for Russia and in high-voltage cable joints, the special equipment for substations increases.
