Notes1 This update covers the period October 1, 2007 through December 31, 2008.2 This does not include placements for those who do not live in the target communities for the CPI. Please see “Other Com-
munity” in the table above which indicates how many people from non-target communities secured jobs with the help of the CPI.
3 Training opportunities include admission to The Cara Program, on-the-job-training with Cleanslate Chicago, internships with other businesses and vocational training.
4 Information technology opportunites include Network Supervisor, A+/ Net+/ MCSA and A+/ Net+/ MCP/ CCNA. Healthcare opportunities include Medical Billing & Coding and CNA/ EKG/Phlebotomy/ CPR.
5 This number may include temp-to-perm positions. Temp-to-perm jobs are opportunities that offer permanent status after
solid performance during a given temporary period.6 “Other Community” tracks the number of individuals who do not originate in the target neighborhoods. This number is
included here in order to represent the full successes of the Career Pathways Initiative.7 Client demographics reflect individuals who sat down for a one-on-one assessment with a Career Pathways Staff member.
This opportunity is made available to every individual referred to Career Pathways or who walks in for an appointment.8 Neighborhood count reflects the client population from all who received services from CPI staff at least once.
Demographics7
Note: The total number of individuals served (unduplicated) by the CPI through 12/31/08 is 2,085.
