Today is the last day that canned goods are being collected
for Cabot Food Bank as well as monetary donations. The
Sunday School kids weighed in and our goal is 975 lbs of
canned goods to raise. So far St. Luke’s has collected 219
lbs and 224 items and the congregation raised $337.25!
Look for collection boxes and cart in Narthexes and
Centennial Hall.

Prayer Shawls The prayer shawl ministry has wrapped the loving arms of God around many shoulders over the last few years and many have reported feeling an abiding
peace. God’s eternal promise of healing and life everlasting is heard through these prayer shawls. We believe with your help God can touch many more hearts and souls with His Care and promise of love. If you’d be interested in learning to make them please contact Velma Botlz or Gayle Gundlach. 5

20 years of Celebration for Pastor’s Service
Dear friends and members of St. Luke’s,
Thanks to all for the surprise celebration at the
annual meeting. After 13 years in service among you, the
Lord has afforded in total the opportunity to serve 20 years
in ordained ministry (21 this March). The cake was a
reminder of the sweet times of service, and they have been
many indeed! The reading of a simple bio/vita of the
journey the Lord opened for me to serve over the last
twenty years filled me with humble gratitude for the Lord’s
grace and provision. And I am touched by the $300.00 gift
given to purchase a new robe in your honor and to the glory
of God. After 23 years of wearing the robe, mid-way
through what may become a life time of service, I will,
with great hope and joy, find a new robe as a reminder of
your affection and the Lord’s faithfulness to guide me and
give me the necessary grace to wear it.
To God be all glory and honor, through Jesus
Christ.
In His Service, Pastor Keller
“A Christian congregation should never gather together [in worship] without the preaching of God’s Word and prayer, no matter how briefly. … For all that matters is that God’s Word be given free course to encourage and enliven hearts, so that they do not become burdened.” —Martin Luther (1483-1546)
The Sewing Ministry has a wooden quilt frame that needs a new home. Please contact Gayle Gundlach if you are interested.

St. Paul’s Plans New Worship Space The congregation of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sarver broke ground in January on their new sanctuary planning to reach more hearts with God’s Word. St. Luke’s has committed February’s
benevolence of $1,650 in support of this building project. If you would like to increase the amount, you may write a check to St. Luke’s and put it in the offering plate with “St. Paul’s” in the memo. Your contribution will be forwarded to St. Paul’s along with an offering from St. Luke’s.

This video series from Walk Thru the Bible will last for six
weeks during Lent. Please sign up in the Koinonia Café to
ensure that we have enough books ordered.
The overview of the course includes: Israel’s shepherd king
faced critical choices in the same areas we do, and we can learn
a lot from how he handled them. Explore the life of David as he
battles between:
Image vs. Character
Fear vs. Faith
Circumstances vs. Truth
Deception vs. Integrity
Arrogance vs. Humility
Disappointment vs. Expectancy
Grab a cup of coffee in Fellowship Hall or get one when you
arrive and discover a renewed love for the Bible during this
special class to enrich and bless you during Lent. 4
