STUDY OF DIFFERENT TYPES OF WINDING WIRESA submersible motor electric wire ,comprising: a conductor

comprising a copper wire and an enamel coating formed on the periphery of the copper wire: and an insulating sheath layer formed outside the conductor, wherein the insulating sheath layer comprises a composition including polyethylene as a main constituent, and the composition is cross-linked by being irradiated with an ionizing radiation.

POLYESTER WRAPPED COPPER WINDING WIRES. These are special winding wires of submersible pumps which work in submersed conditions.This are imparted to these winding wires like water resistance, low overall diameter to faclitate copact design of the pumps, capable to withstand water abrasion and friction, good dielectric strength etc, The compact design is the prime necessity of submersible pumps as these are mainly used in bore wells. These requirements have resulted in the innovation for polyester wrapped copper winding wires. The annealed EC grade copper conductor is uniformly wrapped with electrical grade polyester and BOPP flims bi axially.Then it is fused at 140 Deg C in an electric oven. Fusion imparts uniformily to the covering and the biaxial structure does not alow propagation of any tear in it. The polyester and BOPP flims make the covering thickness of these winding wires reasonably less but provide outstanding Electrical, Mechnical,Thermal & chemical properties.Here are some sailent features of these winding wiresEase of winding – Have lesser winding resistance.

Higher Di- electric strength - Multiple layer of insulation ensures higher di-electric strength.

Leakage Current - Higher insulation resistance even at boiling point hence leakage almost NIL

Higher tensile strength - Insulation supports the wire where excessive stretching accurs

ENAMELED COPPER WIRE

Enamel-coated copper wire is covered with a polyurethane resin instead of plastic insulation. It is useful in Electronics projects because the enamel coating acts as a flux in soldering, so you can use the wire immediately in building circuits without removing a coating.

Coated copper wire is used to make attractive jewelry and in sculpture projects. It also is necessary for making crystal radio sets and for electromagnetic learning activities.
