Living to learn,Math: we are converting Improper Fractions to Mixed Numbers and vice-versa (9/4 = 2 1/4); 5 3/5 = 28/5, etc.).
Science: We are learning about different form of energy, the different forms of energy, where it comes from, and how does Heat move? The kids are excited about learning new things, and that energy keeps things going and growing.
Social Studies: we are continues with covering all the Regions of Texas as well as talking about The First Texans and other Native American Texas Tribes.
4th Grade Team
Living to learn,
Reading: In Reading, we’ve been talking about an Author’s Purpose for Writing and Point of View (1st or 3rd).
Writing: we are writing activities for Final Drafts of chosen writing prompts.,
Language Arts: we are writing Conventions ,(Capitalization, Commas, etc.…) Positive, Adjectives, Comparative, and Superlative.
4th Grade Team
Look at what we are learning,
Math: Third grade is learning multiplication strategies and how to relate those strategies to real world situations.
Science : Third-grade is focused on the rapid changes of the earth’s surface and how those changes connect with the surface of the earth.
Social Studies: We are discovering why the new world was so enticing to early explorers. Early explorers had a significant impact on the new world based on how they helped to shape and create new communities.

Reading The theme for this week the theme is “how do we express ourselves?” The reading unit begin with the Author.
Language Arts: This week we are identifying the author’s purpose. The genre for author is autobiography.

Math- Students will be able to understand greater than, less than, and equal to.
Science- Students will learn what about position terms, rocks, magnets, and water.
Social Studies- are, how do we make decisions, and what are our country’s symbols?
