4 Power connectionsNOTE: Only one power source should beconnected at any time, either mains or batteries. It is not possible to connect both simultaneously.

If using the battery case, open it and fit 4 AlkalineAA (LR-6) batteries as indicated. Reseal and fasteninto place on panel using screws or with thesticky pads.

If using the mains adaptor, fasten into place onpanel in a dry location using screws or with thesticky pads and connect the un-terminated mainscable to a 50Hz 230V AC single phase supply viaa 1A fused spur (not supplied).

electrical connectionConnect the power connector from the spout tothe mains adaptor, or in the case of a batterypowered installation, the battery case.

8 Infrared Configuration Unit (ICU) guide

inserting and replacing batteriesThe ICU uses 2 AAA or LR03 alkaline batteries,these must be installed before use. Always usenew batteries of the same type. Install as indicatedin the battery compartment on the rear of the ICU.

PLEASE NOTE: Batteries should be replacedwhen the signal of the ICU becomes weak and itbecomes difficult to activate either cleaning orconfiguration mode.

activating cleaning modeCleaning mode, disables normal operation forcleaning for a timed 30 seconds. In order toactivate cleaning mode with the ICU, it must bepointed at the sensor of the selected washroomproduct. Activation is most effective when theclean button is held down as the ICU is broughtclose to the sensor. It can take up to 3 secondsfor the product to sense the ICU.

When the washroom product is in Clean Mode, thesensor flashes green once a second.

activating ICU configuration modeIn order to activate ICU configuration mode with theICU, it must be pointed at the sensor of the selectedwashroom product. Activation is most effective whenthe configuration button is held down as the ICUis brought close to the sensor. It can take up to 3seconds for the product to sense the ICU.

The washroom product will return to normaloperation if there are no button presses for 30seconds.

infrared tapsThe ICU can adjust/activate the following settings onthe novatap and infrared taps: sensor range;

Run-on time; and 12hr hygiene cycle.

The product must always be put into ICUconfiguration mode before any setting can beconfigured.
