    There is no way to happiness, happiness is the way!

    Happiness is never elusive. We make it so. We go out and buy stuf fs and

    think these are the sources of happiness! But soon af ter f ew days we

    realize that the source which we thought might bring us to happiness

    actually is a trap of creat ing more empt iness in our l i fe!

    Stuff s and loads of stuff s can t make our l if e bet ter. They are here to

    satisfy your ego dominated thought process and to make you feel secured

    like a baby who sits with all his toys around!

    Happiness is the truth and if you know what truth is, you also know what

    happiness means!

    Trut h is realizing who you are as a person and as a result what s your

    dharma to be on the path of happiness. No one can show you the path.

    You will discover as you go along, however you can choose bl iss over

    sadness if you know happiness through and t hrough!

    Thus, this e-book is not a how-to-guide to happiness; rather I would

    discuss some key areas of life after comprehending which you would be

    able to find happiness for yourself!

    Key 1: Know who you are!

    The forefront quest ion of our life is who we are? A body, a soul, a mind,

    or a human being? We keep asking quest ions unt il the day when we

    realize we are none of t hem rather we are only the not icer who watches

    our body, mind, human-beingness!

    We all are part of t he source, the part of t hat vast invisibleness which

    created all life and we all are returning back to the source.

    If you reali ze through your inner guidance system what I am art iculat ing

    here, unhappiness can t be part of you! You created out of happiness

    (source) and are going back to happiness! As you are in this world, but

    not of the world, you can always watch things to happen from a distance!

    Watch life! Know and realize who you truly are! You are a spiritual being,

    invisible, happiness!

    Key 2: Be in the present moment!

    Most of our difficulties come from the moment where we deviate from

    the present moment . When we think thoughts of worry or anxiety, we

    feel scared, grumpy, we complain, blame the world and everyt hing

    around us seems the reason for our unhappiness.

    Let me tell you, the il lusion is created here is created by the ego part of

    you who can only have very narrow view of life and can t go beyond the

    form and at the same t ime i t never all ows us to be in t his present

    moment as if we do so, ego has to disappear from our life!

    The moment you let go from your li fe by worrying about the things in past

    you cannot change now, you let go of t he eternal bl iss that s who you

    are! And in the same way when you elude yourself with the uncanny

    thoughts of future, you let go of the brilliance of the present moment

    which is the only truth for you, now!

    Happiness can t be reached. It s a gif t given to every being who can

    realize the value and t rut h of l i fe present moment i s the only moment

    you have. You are the power in this now!

    Key 3: Reduce your dependence on stuffs!

    When your baby cries the fi rst thing you do is to bring her/ her a toy from

    the nearby shop. Yes, for t he moment , s/ he would forget the reason for

    which s/ he was crying, but immediately aft er some t ime when s/ he

    realizes that it s not fulfi ll ing her/ his reason, s/ he st art s to cry again!

    This is a met aphor for our everyday li fe. When we feel sad we go outside

    and buy stuff s that we think would make us feel bet ter. We buy, buy and

    buy and come home smil ingly. But aft er some t ime, when we find t ime to

    ref lect upon, we see that the stuffs we j ust bought can never appease

    our desire to be happy or to prevent us from the misery we are goingthrough!

    I would ask you to sit quiet ly when you re not feeling blissful and your

    heart is f il led with pain and sadness! And focus on your breathing and

    slow down your pace of doing anything (better, if you can do nothing)!

    Try to go to the root of t he cause for which you re not feeling happy. Ask

    yourself Why? again and again unt il you can underst and the root cause

    behind your unhappiness

    It might be an expectat ion f rom a near one which went unnot iced!

    It might be a j udgment about someone who according to you did wrong

    wit h you!

    It might be a misbehavior you did with your spouse and feeling guilty

    now!

    Or, it might be a failure to achieve the promotion you work hard for!

    Stuffs and things come and go and they always will, according to their

    t ime and nature! Instead of gett ing bogged down in t he worldly comings

    and goings, see beyond them! Watch how they are shaping you as aperson, how they are offering you growth in every present moment!

    There is a time for being ahead and there is a time for being behind! If

    you can accept this wit hout t rying to change it by shopping in t he mall ,

    happiness will never elude you!

    Key 4: Drop off your expectation

    Expectation is a set idea of how things might turn out and more over an

    attachment to that idea. If youre attached to a gum, how can you be

    able to fly which asks to be free of any stickiness?

    Any at tachment to your expectation is a seed of l ife-long unhappiness.

    You might think t hat your spouse should behave in the way you expect

    her/ him to behave, but it s not happening!

    You might expect that your boss would promote you for your good

    performance in the last year, but it s not occurr ing and your boss is not

    even utt ering any word!

    You might want to be a part of the gathering who are discussing the topic

    of your interest, but youre not invited!

    Expectat ion can t ake any form, any shape t he way you choose! However,

    it depends on the mood or whims of others to be a reali t y for you! Whymake life so complicated? Why depending on the mood of someone else

    when you can choose your own happiness!

    Throw out your expectat ion in t he near-by sea! Let li fe f low! Expect

    nothing without the inner convictions of your heart. Youre a divine being

    and you are already amazing. No one is required to fulfill your

    expectations to make you feel validated! Happiness is validation free!

    Key 5: Shift your focus

    Most of our l ife we remain unhappy we focus on what s missing from our

    li fe a lot of money (that other people had), a lot of stuff s, a lot of

    reputation, a lot of achievements and accomplishments and we know we

    can make a list of 100 things what are missing from our l if e.

    If your focus always st ays on what s not there, you will never be able t obe happy. Happiness doesn t require anything extra. Wherever you are,

    whatever you do, whatever j ob you do happiness remains within you. You

    j ust need to shift your thought process from lack to abundance.

    You came from t he source who doesn t know lack. Your ego creates an

    illusory mechanism within you which makes you believe that you lack a

    lot of t hings that other people are able to enjoy, now and thus they are

    happy and therefore, you dont have any right to be happy!

    Have you ever visited anyone s house where all the family members live

    in a hut , sit on the ground, t ake rice from the same bowl and the

    vegetable they use while having one grasp of r ice is a bit of salt ! I have

    seen them smiling while having their food! Are you still unhappy?

    Key 7: Confused between being right/being kind?

    Be kind!

    The whole world goes mad about always t rying to be right !

    The beggar makes begging his business! Never give him money. It s t he

    ri ght t hing to do!

    She always t r ies t o grab whatever projects come up on my way! Now I

    wil l never let i t happen! That s t he ri ght t hing to do now!

    Our boss always screams at us for anything that happens! Pay no heed to

    t he work he asks you to do. It s t he right t hing to do!

    My wif e is real ly get t ing insensit ive, now-a-days! I would also t reat her

    in t hat way! It s t he ri ght t hing to do!

    Somet imes it s in our head or in our conversation or in our behavior we

    have mastered the habit of always making the right choice! Right-thing-

    to-do always leaves us empty as a person and robs off us the happiness

    from our li fe!

    If you consider for once that you don t need to be always right as the

    societ y or your culture or authori ty f igures taught you, you would be able

    to pick kind. And when you do that here are the result s

    You can see the shift by yourself. And this shift stems from being kind,

    rather than always running after being right!

    Key 8: In my world nothing can ever go wrong!

    If you just carry around a faith in t hese words,

    In my world not hing can ever go wrong!

    You would be able to accept anything in your life with reverence as you

    would already know t hat everything that happens to you is for your

    highest good and when it has happened it s for everyone s highest good,

    even if at that moment or t ime we would not be able to comprehend it s

    meaning!

    What I would request you to do is t o paste a poster on your wall or

    bathroom mirror with the word etched on the poster and read it every

    day for reminding you that Nothing is wrong. Everyt hing is perfect .

    Pick up any incident that you re unhappy about in your l if e and repeat

    the sentence In my world nothing can ever go wrong! So what

    happened, happened f or my highest good! I am safe!

    Key 10: Better your relationships

    We most ly think t hat relat ionships are something we need to do ormaint ain or go for or create! However, relat ionship is simple and it s j ust

    in your thought process about a particular person.

    When you think about your mom, what do you think? Happy t houghts or

    otherwise?!

    When you think about your dad, what do you think? Good or otherwise?!

    Same with your sibling, friend, spouse, acquaintances, colleagues, your

    boss, teacher, maid, shopkeeper, any unknown person, auto-driver,rickshaw-puller or a beggar!

    We accept it or not, we all are related in our thoughts! Who live with us

    or whom we choose to live wit h might come in our t houghts quite of ten

    than who we meet sometimes or once or twice in our ent ire li fe!

    So, bet ter relat ions are a good thought away why not think good thoughts

    about everyone? Let me tell you it st art s wit h you and how you re related

    to yourself !

    Now, when you think about yourself , what do you think? Amazing or

    otherwise?!

    If you can think amazing about yourself, everything and everyone who

    you are related to, would change! It says that If you change the way you

    look at things and people t he things and people you look at change! And

    shifting your thought process about yourself and others is largely

    proport ionate to your happiness quot ient !

    Key 11: Do what you love doing!

    (on regular basis)

    Most of us, do not love the work we do! And as most of the t ime we spend

    on doing the work we don t love, we end up living a li fe of mediocri ty

    and empt iness.

    Every soul wants to be fulf il led and if you are fulf il led f rom inside you are

    happy! Now, i f you know t hat the job you are doing is not that what you

    love to do, how to feel fulf il led at this moment of t ime? On one hand you

    would not be able t o leave the job and on the other hand you don t havethe time to do what you love! Sounds famil iar?

    Here is a small guide which will help you start at what you love doing

    1.Find out 15 minutes in t he morning or at night ! (I know yourepret ty busy and that s why I ask you to find out only 15 minutes a

    day! Don t tell me you don t have 15 minutes in a day!!! )

    2.Wri te down three things you love doing - it might be yoga or wr it ingor paint ing! After having the three things handy, play a small game.

    Take three sheets; wri te three names on all of them and in every

    sheet , cut out two things and one would remain untouched!

    Now take each sheet and go by your feeling! Which sheet makes youfeel good? 1st, 2nd or 3rd one? I know it sounds a bit silly, but it

    works! Try it out and choose that one which matches with your good

    feeling!

    3.Now you have a core thing which you love to do and you have 15minutes every day to do it! Do it for 15 minutes every day and see

    how your li fe becomes more ful f il led and happier!

    Key 12: Dont fit in the box of the society!

    You are you and your rules are your rules and you know that inside youdon t li ke to be somebody else or don t want t o act to look good or

    appease someone else! Then why do you do that?

    You get scared!

    You get fearful!

    And you don t want t o be alone!

    Like life, in society also, there is not much place left at the top as

    society is also a pyramid, first the rule makers, then the appeasing

    group in the middle and the most larger port ion among all is the

    lowest group who tolerates all !

    Why do that? Why be that?

    Here let me tel l you that I don t believe in any discriminat ion and if

    you do you know how happy you feel aft er doing it !! ! That s why

    society should be a flat st ructure where everyone would be able t o

    decide what s best for t hemselves!

    No poking from a traditional point of view, no interference of the set

    norms and no st opping from going for t he dreams s/ he sees for

    her/ himself!

    I know what I am of fering here is rather a rebel lious kind of view, but

    if you are not rebell ious, you are among the crowd who tolerates or

    who appeases! Don t be among them!

    If you want to be happy, say your t rut h, act out on your dreams and

    throw out the box you re gift ed by the society!

    Key 13: Go in solitude!

    Go in soli tude as much as you can. Visit a park alone. Take a book and

    sit and spend some time in nature. Or lock yourself in your room and

    meditate! Or go for a date with yourself and pick up a diary and write

    down all your thoughts!

    Solitude is something that s the source of creat ion! It resonates wit hyour t rue feeling about yourself and helps you resolve issues of the

    past and current t imes!

    Sneak through your schedule and find a 10-15 minutes of solitude and

    really think about your l if e, what s most import ant, who are most

    important , think about what you love doing, how you vision your

    future to appear before you or anything that relates to you or the

    world!

    I call solit ude a t ime of review. A review of li fe, career, what you

    could do but didn t , what opportunit ies we are missing out and how

    we can make our life better!

    Being in silence and enjoying it thoroughly! Any doubt? Try it !

    Key 14: Do just 3 things!

    Now-a-days we t alk a lot about st ress, it s reasons and i t s cure!

    However I have found out a very easy way out t o be happy doing what

    you do and yes, without any stress!

    If you allow me to look through your personal t o-do list , I almost know

    that it would contain minimum of 8-10 things to do in a day! I assumeyou re a pret ty busy person and needs to do a lot of work! However i f

    you want to be happy you need to give up on most of them!

    How?

    Now there are lots of things in li fe. Some things come up on every day

    basis and some are j ust every day mat ter you need to handle. Now,

    the easy way out is to ask yourself what s the three most import ant

    things in your life at this moment? Just 3 MITs. I know a lot of thingsare important, but I am talking about most important things here,

    what are they?

    If you are able to find out what are they, dont do any other things

    other t han these 3 most import ant things and you wil l see you life will

    mult iply i t self in mult iple ways wit hout gett ing st ressed, wi thout any

    need to set a to-do li st and wit hout t rying to get organized!

    Key 15: Find inspiration in everyday life

    Few things inspire us most , even if we know i t or not ! If you are being

    asked that

    Are you l iving an inspired li fe?

    Then what would be your answer? Yes/ No/ No idea!

    If you seek to be happy, you need to al ign your vibrat ion wit h the

    source! Yes, I agree connecting to the source is different for everyone,

    however, it is most import ant to go to that sacred place where you can

    reach it and talk to it , share wit h it and be it !

    For me inspiration comes from following things (not stuffs of course)

    1.Writing, a lot!2.Connecting with nature walking in the park!3.Gett ing up early and meditat ing!4.Reading a good book in t he early morning or before going to bed!

    Now, I have made a list of what inspired me, and the turn is yours now!

    To be happy you need to match our li fe wit h the way and that s possible

    when you get inspired!

    Key 16: Surrender!

    Everyt hing in l if e doesn t turn out to be as we want and I know most of

    them don t turn out as per our wishes! And that s why we use phrases

    like-

    Lif e is not f air !

    It s not j ust !

    Lif e sucks!

    I am feel ing helpless, I can t t ake i t anymore!

    These st atement s are nothing but an anger burst ing out of not being able

    to accept what s happening wit h us! If the unaccepted-ness goes away

    then, li fe would reall y become beauti ful and gorgeous!

    Then how to do that?

    Do nothing and surrender! Surrender your pains, sadness, despair, anger,

    boredom or any negative emotions t o God!

    Surrender your every being to Him and see life unfolds itself in most

    j oyous way that you couldn t even imagine that it would change l ike

    magic!

    Life is magic and if you want to see the magic, surrender!

    Key 17: Every ending is a new beginning

    Everyt hing has to go! A li fe, a journey, a meal, a relationship, a job, a

    career, a butterfly or a person!

    However our thoughts and attachment for that thing or person can neverlet us be happy! We keep on suffering and suffering doesn t stop.

    But your suffering can stop now and you can do it within an instant . See

    everything and tell yourself This too will pass!

    Anything in your li fe t hat you feel att ached to, see it , watch it and

    experience and say This t oo wil l pass! It doesn t mat ter whether it s

    good or bad, right or wrong, relationship or job, life or death!

    Every ending is a new beginning and every beginning brings in a new

    ending. Thus, be in the world, but do not be of the world. If you can

    detach yourself from this worldly connection, you are f ree and you are

    happy!

    In conclusion

    This e-book would not teach you t o be happy. It s an effort to show you

    and guide you how much happiness are around and how much happy you

    can be if you understand yourself t ruly and align your l if e wit h the

    source. The techniques and insights presented here have been

    experimented again and again and the beauty of these processes always

    amazes me. Read them again and again and see whether they go with

    your way of being, if they do pract ice them and if they don t , discard

    them and move on. I send you love and wish you very best for being
