GRIET College Administrative Portal (GCAP), college webpage and e-magazine created and maintained by staff and students. The various academic and other activities are automated through GCAP. Attendance is updated on a daily basis and the parents’ are informed about the absentee on the day of their absence through GCAP and SMS. The College adopts mentoring procedure through which each instructor is assigned twenty (20) students, who provides counseling catering their emotional, physical, inspirational needs and guidance on information regarding opportunities that exist in their discipline. This mentoring process is also routed through GCAP to have the complete history of the student. The online evaluation feedback of teaching learning by students is done at least twice in a semester. From the day of commencing the internal examination, four days are given for marks entry into GCAP. In conjunction with the mid examination, lab internal examination is conducted once in a semester to evaluate the students’ level of practicality, problem-solving skills. Internal assessment includes marks for the record, viva and program write up as well as execution. All the marks are published in GCAP.
Guidelines of IQAC and submission of AQAR for Autonomous Colleges Page 5
Highlights of GCAP: 1. It is an initiative by GIG (GRIET Information Group) to design a highly customized integrated online portal.2. It’s a web-based portal as per the needs and practices of GRIET.3. It can be accessed from anywhere on/off the campus.(http://www.griet.in/gcap/login.php) Post-Examination ProcessThe answer scripts are evaluated by the expertise in subject from reputed institutions. The results are declared by Results Committee which has JNTUH Nominee. GRIET takes around 4 weeks to declare the results right from the date of commencement of the examination. Finally, marks memos and certificates are printed. All the above processes controlled by GRADES of the GCAP platform.
Library is automated in 2017 with Integrated Library Management System (ILMS).The library uses 16.5 Version Koha, a web-based Integrated Library System with a SQL database back end with cataloging data stored in MARC. It’s a fully automated Library Management Information System that supports in-house operations of the Library.
G.R.I.E.T. has an Alumni Association, registered under Society’s Registration Act, 1860. Membership to the alumni association is through GCAP.
All the accounts and financial issues are monitored through GCAP finance module.
